@TsavoJihadLeone
I'm very curious about the reforms to enforcement, because that seems to be the larger failure here.
"More than 95 per cent of transfemicides are thought to have gone unpunished in 2022 in the country as a whole, according to The Guardian."
I also wonder if the 60 and 70 year sentences cited in the article are roughly analogous to what the US would call a "hate crime enhancement" for a sentence.

I'm not being argumentative, genuinely asking:
What is exciting about this, other than a different form factor? The article is pretty light on details.
Dr. Corey Olsen makes an interesting point about the three Elven rings I had never considered. This cuts right to our discussion the other day about the Elves and fallibility.
I'm having trouble sharing a URL with time index - Go near the end to 1:16:30.

I know you're not a fan of the ROP show thus far, but his analysis of the trailer leading up to this point is quite interesting, and makes me look at it in a new light overall.
^^ See 12:00 in the second video for a nice encapsulation of what is thoroughly explained in the first video:
The driver update from CrowdStrike was signed by Microsoft. The driver itself was fine. But the channel update file from CrowdStrike that is used as input to the driver was malformed, simply full of zeros. That crashed the driver, which was running in kernel mode, so the system had to be halted (BSOD).
Here is what *actually happened* on a technical level in the recent CrowdStrike debacle from someone with deep knowledge of Windows' inner workings.

Update video, where he gets deeper into how CrowdStrike and Microsoft could have possibly prevented this, including an EU regulatory factor.

@corlin
That's very disappointing to hear about heat and efficiency.
@EnochianEntropy
Yeah I've seen those, and if Android phones supported that magnetic setup it would possibly sway me towards them. AFAIK, it's an Apple-only thing.
@stueytheround
The new one I'm getting this week will be my first that supports it. I always lay my phone in the same place on the nightstand which would be good for a charging pass, but on the other hand I often use my phone while charging and a traditional plug works better there.
Induction charging pads: What's your opinion? Never tried one before; wondering if it's worth it. This would be for an #Android Pixel.
@th3j35t3r
I appreciate your statement, but I don't understand the 'friends reporting friends' bit. I know that there are gray areas, but I would think it would come down to if a post violates TOS or does not.
@stueytheround @th3j35t3r
I have seen some of it, and I'm blocking when I do. The thing I've been noticing more of is using Zionism as a slur.
My fault for not reporting as well; that will change going forward.
@Render I am not seeing these vile things because the little clique who enjoys posting them is systematically blocking anybody who disagrees with them or whom they fear will report their hate speech.
I would like something done about this.
#Tech
Apple only.
It's update day, important security fixes. Update all your Apple stuff.
@LiseL
I think you missed the pun.
