I'm very curious about the reforms to enforcement, because that seems to be the larger failure here.
"More than 95 per cent of transfemicides are thought to have gone unpunished in 2022 in the country as a whole, according to The Guardian."
I also wonder if the 60 and 70 year sentences cited in the article are roughly analogous to what the US would call a "hate crime enhancement" for a sentence.
