I signed up to reserve my user name.
Days, weeks later I came here to scream into a void, assuming it was empty like the other mastodon instances I was on.
I came here to vent about a programming language I was having a hard time with.

And then something strange happened.

I was welcomed into the community.

I was welcomed.

Online

On social media.

This changed everything. I came back. And kept coming back. Then I found friends. And a tribe.

It's been a ride I'll say. The best ride ever :a_fucking_narwhal_tusk_tho:

ANNOUNCE: Somme of you may or not be aware that a while back some 🤩 COSO users got together, virtually from literally different countries and decided they were gonna do a remake of 'You're Not The Only One."

Thank YOU to everyone involved, it's amazing. Special thanks to @stueytheround @sonnybillglover @Fellixe @readDDglover @mikeflstfi @JohnRadcliff @northernbassist @Ulf @phase2 and anyone who contributed in any way. 🙏

And here it is. Excellent!!!

I think we might finally be witnessing the collapse of with all the ad pulls. Good fucking riddance.

Celebrating the along with a positive development in a rather shitty 6 months with a large amount of Jameson. Feeling tipsy. AMA.

I will also share that I am very firmly in the air-coolling camp and nothing will sway me towards liquid cooling. In my experience, large heatpipe coolers from Scythe or Noctua meet or exceed the performance of liquid cooling with lower noise.

None of this is happening right away, as my current system still meets my needs. I was just window shopping, and realizing I could make huge upgrades for very little.

The system gets used for mostly audio editing, and occasional video work with DaVinci Resolve, but my current MSI GeForce 1650 handles everything quite well. I don't game often enough to upgrade the video card right now.

Fellow PC builders: at some point in the not-too-distant future, I plan to upgrade my desktop PC which is still running an Intel Core 2 Duo e8500. What you do you think of this build? I would only be buying the CPU, cooler, mobo, and RAM as I can continue using what I have in my current system for the foreseeable future. Especially that Fractal R5 case which is an absolute dream to work with.

I know I have been persistent with posting reference to the domestic violence hotline.

But, if one person sees it and it's helpful for their own self, it's worth the repetitiveness of my posts.

I'm passionate about this for a variety of reasons and will always be an advocate for those who sit silently in the background.

Not sure how I feel about one of my favorite symphonies being given the dancehall treatment, but I applaud the effort!

I love the horns, but the homogenized percussion in every movement makes it hard to enjoy.

Here's a guy completely nerding out on this piece, and a few others in the genre:

If you have never listened to Bulgarian choral music, you are missing some of the most amazing stuff out there. The vowels are quite a bit brighter than Western ears may be used to, but the laser-sharp intonation cuts right through to your soul.

Non-stop political outrage posts aren't welcome here. Most of us are here to escape that garbage.
