Yet another music publisher who doesn't proofread before going to print.
And yes, I'm getting a jump on winter holiday stuff. Making practice tracks for fall semester.

This is SO freaking cool.

FYI, there is probably no other pianist alive who could play these 5 concerti in one concert.
Next time I need to throw a piece of kombu in the rice cooker. The rice itself needs more umami. I didn't put any sugar in with the rice vinegar to dress the rice but used mirin instead which is quite sweet. And there was a good deal of sugar in the carrot cucumber pickle.
I also found out my chef's knife is not quite sharp enough for the nori. It goes through it, but not easily. These are a bit rough looking, but for my first try I don't think I did too bad.
Criticism and tips appreciated.
First attempt making maki sushi. Well, the second roll was an unintentional futomaki, I suppose.
It's a quasi-California roll. I did a quick pickle on cucumber and carrot, and overnight pickle on the ginger. That kewpie mayo really is a secret weapon.

Upgraded the main storage in my Sound Devices 788T-SSD recorder today. The drive it came with from the previous owner was a refurbished 128GB Samsung 830, installed November of 2014. Best practice recommendation from Sound Devices is to replace these drives every 4 years or so, so this was long overdue.
I replaced it with a 480 GB Crucial BX500 3D NAND, which only cost me $38.
This gave me another opportunity to admire the beautiful internal design. What a tank.
When I go into town, I buy a coffee at a local independent coffeehouse. That hires exclusively young adults, that are either homeless, or in trouble with the law. They pay them $17 an hour, and have a robust social services support team.
Yes their coffee cost a buck more. But it is great coffee, and helps the community.
Rough day for one of my fur babies. While playing with buddies at daycare this morning, there was a scrum and she got the end of her ear bitten off. Immediately raced over to pick her up and bring her to the vet. Very said injuries like this take a long time to heal because of all the capillaries. It kind of just has to heal on its own. She got painkiller, anti-inflammatory, and antibiotic, and an anti-flap head wrap on order.
It looks really terrible but she's doing all right, considering.
@Alfred Name all of the Led Zeppelin songs that have lyrics referencing the Lord of the Rings or Tolkien's legendarium.
@Alfred Where in a chord progression would be the most effective place to use in Neapolitan 6th chord?
It would be really great if every huge tech company wasn't trying to cram AI down our throats. It's helpful for certain things, but isn't a universal panacea. We are approaching cryptocurrency levels of fervor, and I'm over it.
Selfless, Cold, and Composed

We say good morning.
We say good night.
We enjoy our coffee together.
We share what we love. Pets, art, games, politics, you name it.
We're genuine people enjoying a sacred space that doesn't exploit us at every opportunity.
A place where we can be ourselves.
No other social can claim the same, because every other social is trying to sell you. #CoSoTips
