@gshevlin I've found ways around the worst of it. I know they're working on their moderation problem. That's going to happen anywhere to some degree. But CoSo is simply not a good platform for writers trying to promote and market their work. That's not the vibe here. I use Threads for that (and Bluesky for hockey shitposting lol). Here is for more generalized social mayhem.

@gshevlin Threads might be stalled from a general user's perspective, but it is where a lot of the Writing Twitter and TTRPG Twitter folks have settled. The writers' community on Threads is very robust (and growing daily).

Xwitter is rejecting my attempts to create a new account using a proton mail account. I even tried it with my phone number but it "cannot register" either the email or the phone number.

Our intricate dance of knives continues apace.

I keep getting "Rate limited" errors or "cannot create your account right now" errors when I try to change my username for Xwitter or create a new account to park my handle. I won't install the app. I tried using desktop and mobile browsers, via wifi and mobile network. No luck. Any ideas?

@th3j35t3r For a lot of folks our age (I think you're around my age), it was our first foray into portal fantasy. Even with the heavy religious overtones that I didn't really pick up on as a kid, I still like the chronicles myself.

I'm more concerned how my own state governor is going to protect us from the feds. That orange shitgibbon already plans to send in troops to drag people out of their homes. We just codified abortion rights into our state constitution. Is the governor going to protect us when a national federal ban is implemented?
