IMHO we can expect the Great Social Media Chase to continue.
Since a critical mass of people determined that Twitter was not THe Place, we have seen:

X --> Spoutible (pretty much over)
X --> Post.news - GONE
X --> Threads - stalled now people realize that Threads has no useful moderation, plus SPAM
X --> BlueSky - This Month's Thing
X --> Mastodon - trickle
X --> Discord - trickle
X --> CoSo - trickle

@gshevlin Threads might be stalled from a general user's perspective, but it is where a lot of the Writing Twitter and TTRPG Twitter folks have settled. The writers' community on Threads is very robust (and growing daily).

@ianthealy I can see that, since I am a writer. however, a number of the earlier arrivals have already found out the hard way about the utterly useless moderation process.

@gshevlin I've found ways around the worst of it. I know they're working on their moderation problem. That's going to happen anywhere to some degree. But CoSo is simply not a good platform for writers trying to promote and market their work. That's not the vibe here. I use Threads for that (and Bluesky for hockey shitposting lol). Here is for more generalized social mayhem.

@ianthealy I do not waste time trying to subvert moderation. I have better things to do with my time. I already had 2 posts arbitrarily deleted on Threads because they claimed I was trying to farm for engagement. Well, duh, isn't that what you do?
CoSo here is a niche community, like The Well used to be. I position it to people on other platforms as a haven of peace and tranquility (which it is).

CounterSocial is the first Social Network Platform to take a zero-tolerance stance to hostile nations, bot accounts and trolls who are weaponizing OUR social media platforms and freedoms to engage in influence operations against us. And we're here to counter it.
