In the age of drones, bigger ships mean bigger targets.

There's lot's of talk about drone aircraft, but autonomous torpedoes have been developing apace since 1988. Even back then, they were clever enough to shut down and wait to reacquire.

Small boats testing (unarmed) clever torpedos learned the hard way to approach carefully for retrieval.

I can't imagine how smart and powerful torpedoes have become.

As much as insurance companies suck, I completely agree that teenagers (of all sexes) should have higher insurance rates.

Two weeks after he got his license my oldest totaled his car. I took our pickup for a ride in the woods, and got stuck so deep a tractor had to pull me out. A neighbor girl was texting while driving (omw m l8) and drove into the ditch.

They're just horrible drivers, and should cost more to insure.

I had two boys - I feel your pain.

Surround the court with angry citizens carrying pink hammers, rather than wearing cute pink bonnets like 2017.

Then start swinging.

Not a plan, so to speak, but I did create a guide for direct action. r/HayforksandFirebrands

Olympic TV commercial: "Does that make me a bad person?"

Yeah, it sure sounds like it. STFU, jerk.

He was never going to win them to his side. This was scheduled for one reason: Take the spotlight.

It's far more important for him to dominate the news cycle than win an intellectual argument. His supporters aren't "the sharpest tools in box."

The racist component is for his base, also.

He's not looking to win votes: he's looking to win the election. His only chance is through legal (and illegal) BS, supported by the corrupt "supreme" court.

Synarchists, like the the Business Plot of 1933.

They're always waiting, on the (incorrect) assumption that destroying the proletariat will make them more wealthy.

The correct economic decision is to support and enable all citizens. A rising tide lifts all boats.

I have two words that most emphatically indicate we are in a simulation:

Reality Winner.

. . . a tech jabs a slippery probe painfully into his ribs, and a nurse repeatedly injects - something - into him is Thursday afternoon for them.

To me it seemed nuts, but that's just me, I guess.

I had a Cardiovascular Ultrasound the other day, and the entire event was pretty surreal. At one point I commented "If we really are living in a simulation, I fail to understand the reasoning for this entire procedure."

Both the tech and the nurse were nonplussed, as if they'd never considered that we are living in a simulation.

Isn't that a common thought for people?

Maybe it's because a huge shirtless guy lying down with a syringe hanging out of his arm while. . .

Hear, hear!

Learning, yeah. That's the ticket.

I forgot I'd snapped a quick shot of sunset over Campbell lake, Fidalgo island on Saturday. It's nice:

Yikes. Always tough when you have to look up a definition. Is that cheating?
