Pictures of the damage to my big white pine. A 12" thick branch broke off, along with several smaller ones. They all fell on my huge lilacs. It's chainsaw and chipper time, I guess.

I really should get out of the recliner and get some things done. Maybe put on long pants.

My grand-uncle. Died in a train accident shortly after this was taken. He was Dan the 1st, my father was Dan the 2nd, I'm Dan the 3rd, and my son is Dan the 4th.

However, my grandson is Chet. Chet the 1st, I guess. I'm still a bit salty about it.

The lads (young bucks) were around today, which means mama & the twins are up in the woods somewhere. She won't let them hang around when she's got fawns.

Saw the Sunday evening Seattle --> Juneau cruise ship races from Ebey beach. That's the "Discovery Princess" on the left, and the much smaller "Eurodam" on the right, in the lead heading up the Admiralty Inlet. There are at least 10 cruise ships underway within 50 miles of them this evening.
