Jam packed day, today. Appointments for everyone. Dentist for kiddo. Hematologist for me (yikes.) And annual checkup for the hubs. All back to back. Can’t wait to get back home, already. We haven’t even left for the first yet.

#TFW A parent from your kid’s class arranges a play date for the class, asks you to RSVP, you do, enthusiastically. Then you show up and no one is there. 20 min after the start time, you see a classmate ambling over and when you talk to that mom she tells you, of the organizer, “oh yeah, she texted everyone to cancel. But some of us decided to come anyway.”
😤 Fortunately she also forgot to cancel with two other parents so at least my child wasn’t crushed. Thank god those little girls showed up.

Oof. I definitely didn’t plan on crying at work. But my soul sister, who overcame fertility problems and had 4 children all IUI, is here. She asked me how things were going and oh man the floodgates were opened. 😭

Do I pay too much for much less breakfast at Panera because it’s quality is consistent or do I save about $3.50 and roll the dice on the hearty hospital cafeteria breakfast combo which MIGHT include runny eggs, milky cheesy potatoes, and/or burnt bacon/rubbery sausage?

I need a good #book today. I flew through When Among Crows by Veronica Roth yesterday. Started it at work, ended just before bed. I loved the story. I loved the satisfaction of reading it so swiftly. But I would definitely also have enjoyed it if it were 200 pages+ longer. It’s not that I didn’t think the characters were developed enough—they were. I just wanted more of them and more of them and the badass world-building.

Fun fact: there is a whole tower in the hospital where I work that has their staff toilets connected to hot water. 🍑 🧖‍♀️

I don’t actually enjoy the tushie steam in the summer months. Not so bad in the winter though. 🫣

Umm… I ordered a magnetic wristband for not losing screws. I’m not following this logic.

Ew. Nope the TV is going back. Piss off Smart TVs. Guest bedroom is now TV-less and we will cling to the Samsung dumb tv with a Roku express+ until one or the other of those craps out.

Vizio can kick rocks. That’s sensory overload and the Home Screen won’t allow any customization. My 6yr old does not need to see ads for inappropriate to her age tv and movies every time we switch on the tv. Nope nope nope.

Well it finally happened… after I griped about it over a year ago it held on until approximately last week. Setting up the new TV. And I hate it. 😒 I hate learning new technologies when I am basically forced to learn them.

Well, the third IUI didn’t take. 😮‍💨 Honestly I felt that coming. I have to take a cycle off from this fertility stuff I need a reset from the stress and the hormonal manipulation and maybe get a chance to shed a few of the pounds it has all packed on. A break is what I need. Then we’ll go hard on as many rounds of IVF we can before the budget runs out.

Also fuck republicans and their desire to fuck everything up for people that do AND do not want to be pregnant. Seriously. Fuck them.
