Went for a checkup w my retina specialist (RS) today. No swelling, inflammation under control, the three-year steroid implant works. Next check-up in 3 months. But he is sending a note to my glaucoma specialist (GS): the pressure in my left eye is not only making the optic nerve atrophy, it is now also making it bleed. I go see GS on 5.7 and RS doesn't think I need to rush in earlier, but I do need to call to let GS decide. All this because insurance denied my glaucoma surgery.

What to do with a gift day off? Receive email saying there have been too many closures so there is no pay for today unless you use a leave day. I have no such thing what with #cancer treatment, so I will be docked a full day. As a coping mechanism, I wrapped my nails. #manicure

There are widespread power outages in our town and school is cancelled for today. Our home has power and I feel so grateful for a day to catch up on stuff and catch my breath that I could cry. What a gift!
