Fun fact: there is a whole tower in the hospital where I work that has their staff toilets connected to hot water. 🍑 🧖♀️
I don’t actually enjoy the tushie steam in the summer months. Not so bad in the winter though. 🫣
@janallmac yeah bizarre at the get go. But I’m like, okay this is a mistake I can get on board with. So long as I’m not planning to be seated for long. 😅
What?
@LnzyHou yeah some plumber was phoning it in that day, I guess. Like it’s so hot the outside of the bowl is warm. It’s hotter the higher you go in the tower.
The ICU has a massage chair in the lounge. South tower staff get a regular bum sauna, apparently.
@MotherDucker That seems counter-intuitive to me. Heat would propagate bacteria. @LnzyHou
@Tacitus_Kilgore @LnzyHou yeah it was definitely an error that was just too expensive to fix, apparently. Also there no cold water in the sink so definitely reinforces my major duck-up theory. Like there’s a cold water handle. But nothing cold comes out of it. Every staff bathroom for about 4 floors. All stacked atop one another. All the same problem.
@MotherDucker Jesus. @LnzyHou
@MotherDucker @Tacitus_Kilgore @LnzyHou I'm confused why the hospital wouldn't have withheld payment to the plumber or contractor until they fixed the issue. It wasn't the hospital's error (unless they had gotten a useless relative of a board member to do the job super cheap).
@Captain_Blood_86 @Tacitus_Kilgore @LnzyHou we have in house plumbers, electricians, painters, etc.
@MotherDucker @Tacitus_Kilgore @LnzyHou ooh that makes sense now.
@MotherDucker My parents have a self-heating toilet seat, and I was honestly very weirded out by it at first, but once you get used to the idea of sitting on a warm toilet seat, it's very pleasant.
