I'm about to hear a concert of one of my all-time favorite works, the Duruflé Requiem. I have never had the opportunity to hear it performed live, and I'm SUPER stoked.

See you on the other side.

deceiving users by claiming that the software would block third-party tracking and protect users' privacy, but failing to inform them that it would sell their "detailed, re-identifiable browsing data" to more than 100 third-parties

Please keep this link within CoSo.

I just finished editing together some level matched test track compilations. One is classical; the other rock/pop/hip-hop. Each compilation is 14-15 minutes.

A few of these tracks are favorites of certain people here, but there may be some new ones in there for you.

Also, don't think that the Classical compilation is all polite and quiet. These are meant to be torture tracks.

Here's my favorite guitar-based album for @BillyBones birthday:

Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan - In Session, 1983
youtu.be/P7A12LuA8-U

This should be obvious, but I think some people are missing it:

If you ask @Alfred to geolocate a photo with you in it, all of CoSo can see exactly where you are/were. (Assuming the response is accurate.)

If your PLP is enabled, the entire Internet can see that info. @Alfred has PLP enabled, so its responses are public.

This will be concern for some, but not for all. Just be aware of the content of these photos. Consider blurring faces if necessary.

How soon until some n00b uses @Alfred's new geolocation ability to try and publicly doxx someone?

You just know someone's going to be stupid enough to do it.

I didn't know what to expect with the Barbie movie, but a Matrix reference definitely wasn't on the list.

Really clever and funny movie.

Calibrated measurement microphone arrived today. Just finished measuring studio monitor setup and applying EQ connection.

All is right with the world.

cc @voltronic, check this video, i think you'll appreciate it

I haven't seen this movie in forever, maybe since it came out, and I don't remember any of it.

Seriously weird. But cool.

Rick Beato discusses the Super Bowl halftime show. From 4 min on, he discusses how algorithmic music services and social media are harming our musical culture, and why you only tend to see artists who have been around a long time doing these big shows.

@White_Rabbit
There are so many great bits in there, including a dive into the ongoing "un-friendship" between Galadriel and Fëanor, despite her being a major inspiration (maybe THE inspiration) for the making of the Silmarils. And also, how at the end of the retconning, she became at least the equal of Fëanor in elfdom, if not surpassing him.

@White_Rabbit
I've been listening to a lot of the old Dr. Corey Olsen lectures (currently in his LOTR chapter analysis) but I had jumped to this episode on the Metahistory of Galadriel (ep. 6 below) and it's AWESOME. I knew had majorly retconned her more than once, but I didn't realize there were SIX versions of her backstory!
