Update: I was listening to Sleep Token wrong.
Having now listened more intently (particularly to their "Take Me Back To Eden" release, on loop for the past day or so), I recognize that they don't fit in any neat genre box. Their influences are all over the place, and they weave together a rich tapesty of styles. I'm here for it, and I'm so glad that I gave their stuff a more focused listen. I really was missing out!
(Thanks @rych for the guidance and nudge!)
🔖 Here’s Why I Decided To Buy ‘InfoWars’ - The Onion
Today we celebrate a new addition to the Global Tetrahedron LLC family of brands. And let me say, I really do see it as a family. Much like family members, our brands are abstract nodes of wealth, interchangeable assets for their patriarch to absorb and discard according to the opaque whims of the market. And […]
@kel very strong "restaurant at the end of the universe" vibes.
@rych Almost finished with my first straight-through listen of Take Me Back To Eden... and I think I like it.
And I think I realized why I was struggling to catch what Sleep Token was putting down. My previous exposure had been to individual tracks included in various metal/core playlists. ST has some metal elements but I don't think their musical style really fits into any single genre. I wasn't able to appreciate what they're doing when trying to hear it through a "metal" expectation.
@ecksmc I'm not sure if CoSo offers a proper PWA, and I can't check the presence of 'display=standalone' in the manifest.json because Cloudflare apparently thinks I'm a hax0r.
I know setting that value in my manifest is really all it took to get my site(s) to behave well as full-screen PWAs on my Pixel phone.

@ecksmc I think that largely depends on both the site and the browser. I've got some sites that work great as a PWA and others which don't behave quite right (like what you see in your screenshot).
Sites have to be specifically designed to do the cool "hide the address bar" thing (and I had to do quite a bit of tinkering to get my own site to do that).
@rych thanks! I'll give those focused spins today.
@rych Maybe that's my issue - I haven't sat down and deliberately listened to any entire albums yet. Just a bunch of "top tracks" lists.
Do you have a recommended album to try as a whole?
@rych I feel like I'm missing out 😞

@Ms420 you have good words 👍
