Could have saved ?

As one of approximately 12 loyal Stadia players who loved the service from before it launched til the last hours it was online...

No.

No single title could have saved Stadia from Google's shortsighted mismanagement and unrealistic expectations. Google never seemed to understand what Stadia players actually loved about the service, and they sure as never bothered to capitalize on those aspects.

I powered through completing the main campaign in last night, solely so I'd feel okay starting .

D4 turned out to be a shallow, mindless hack-n-slash which was a fine diversion but got to feeling really repetitive and just kind of uninteresting.

From what I've seen about BG3 so far, it's *not* that. I'm looking forward to getting sucked in to a game with a bit more depth.

Are you playing BG3? What's your build? I'm thinking wood elf rogue.

I spent some time this afternoon getting the battle.net launcher installed on my so I could play , and I'm really impressed by how well it plays on that device. It's a great way to hack-and-slash my way through dungeons.

"One of the reasons porting games to Stadia was slow was Google's decision to program games in Linux instead of C++, the language used by Sony and Microsoft."

's ultimate demise may have been inevitable, but so were all the articles proclaming its myriad fatal flaws... from the perspective of a "gaming journalist" who thinks that Linux is a programming language.

Project Killswitch: Engaged

(The kickstand is great for Death Stranding - so many cutscenes!)

I picked up Metal Hellsinger while it was on sale and I've been playing a little of it this evening. This game is seriously fun! It's like all the best bits of Doom and your favorite rhythm game mashed together with a kickin' metal soundtrack.

Definitely worth checking out!

Game on!

With less than a week remaining before The Shutdown, the team just released a new game!

Oh, and also let us know that we'll get a way to "unlock" the controller and connect it via Bluetooth with the gaming system of our choice. Nice!

I'm a bit shy of two hours in, and quite enjoying Horizon Zero Dawn so far. The visuals are really impressive, and it runs very smoothly on the .

Thanks for helping me decide what to play!
