@janallmac and yet there are some things that are transmitted so viscerally, either through media or more frequently orally, that make the hate stick. For me, growing up with a Hungarian Holocaust survivor, I have an enormous amount of hate for Nazis, Soviet-era Communists, and their fascist Hungarian collaborators.

@th3j35t3r haven't seen Amanda Tapping around lately...

@Sr0bi the other day my dog threw up all over the carpet so I got out my shop vac and started pulling up what I could. After a certain point the vacuum was working so hard it sounded like it would just burst into flames. But then I slapped a Jets sticker on it and it sucks great again!

@ianthealy I'm looking forward to checking them out. Questions: what's your opinion of Ennis's work, in particular Preacher and The Boys and have you read or have an opinion about Busieck's Astro City?

@Museek there were many variations on this "abbreviation", ranging from the use of one's full name to the sound of a mother searching for her rolling pin...😂

@GaryPoole bet they sell "lucky" rabbit feet too. 🤣

@MMH OK, still confused by your original post. You were caught up in the IT hype bubble but what does that have to do with the video and Gary Marcus?

@MMH is the yt video supposed to be Leonard Nimoy?

@feloneouscat there's also a little bit of this going on:

"There's no problem. I was just hoping you could give me some insight into the evolution of the market economy in the southern colonies. My contention is that prior to the Revolutionary War, the economic modalities—especially in the southern colonies—could most aptly be characterized as agrarian pre-capital—"

@feloneouscat it's particularly galling when the source of the statement actually used state and non-state actors to try to effect a type of coup.

A nice, easily digestible explanation by Reich of how the ultra rich never pay their fair share...

@JolieSaboteuse Heller is possibly the most egregious and willfully ideological "originalist" misinterpretation of the Constitution in our nation's history. It was the true beginning of a disregard of stare decisis in the Roberts court, which will be that schmuck's legacy. And no matter what RBG thought of him as a person and friend, Scalia is the asshole most responsible for decisions that will take decades to overturn, if ever

@JolieSaboteuse didn't they know that a Swiss Army knife is neutral? It can only be used in self defense, in which case it becomes highly adept at poking many small holes in "large" people. It also has a handy dandy "whip ass" can opener (can o' whip ass not included).

@Jeber the thing is that sovereign citizens are few and impotent. But Musk, Thiel, et al are changing all of our lives.

@Museek always loved UC Santa Cruz. Many friends went there and later other friends taught there. High scholarship and a wonderful learning environment. Congrats to your daughter, we're rooting for her!
