I had never stepped into a Brooks Brothers in my life as I had never needed such high end clothes nor wanted to drop hundreds for stuff I'd only end up wearing a few times...until this past weekend. My wife's cousin and her boyfriend both work at flagship stores in NYC and were visiting us in CA. They generously offered to use their 70%!!! employee discount for us to buy a few things. This polo is made of Supima cotton and it is sublime. Durable, ultra soft, minimal shrinkage. I'm sold!

My brush with heaven. Just saw Brooke Shields' Pretty Baby biopic and I was blown away! September 1984: I was a 14 year old nerdy kid attending RainbowFest (computer conference) at the Hyatt Regency in Princeton. My dad and I went downstairs for a quick bite to eat and we saw her with her mom. I came up to the table and all I could muster was "Hi". She politely said "Hello" and I scurried off. Here's a picture that I wish I had taken (found recently in Rainbow Magazine and upscaled with AI).

My Dubs engage in what I call "sportive wokeism". They play half the game or more trailing by double digits. Then, usually in the 3rd or even 4th quarter, they "wake up" and say "Hey, we're the Warriors!"
