I've missed y'all... I went to a conference last Thursday/Friday and then yesterday had the pleasure of having my first colonoscopy, because I am old and such things must be done. So, here we go - back in the saddle...
#ThreeGoodThings
1. my test results are clear
2. I spent the majority of the weekend doing creative stuff and love what I made
3. the conference was fantastic and I made some great friends
Pictured is a pendant I made - center cab is amethyst

#ThreeGoodThings
1. I had a long holiday weekend that was super productive, and now thanks to a conference on Th/Fri I have a really short work week
2. I took down a stuffy looking cornice board in my office and put up a simple black rod with ring/hooks and used an old #crochet table runner for a valance (I have ideas for covering where the brackets are)
3. I'm about 1/2 way done reading "A Wrinkle in Time" again and loving it every bit as much as when I was a kid
Hiya everyone! I've been enjoying my long weekend well away from screens. I've managed to finish a #beaded #crossstitch butterfly kit I got on vacation last year, a necklace and earrings set (from a kit - modified it quite a bit), and a Japanese Lace #chainmail bracelet (also a kit, also my very first chain mail and I love it).
This is the tasty vegetarian Mexican pasta I made the other day, highly recommend!

#ThreeGoodThings
1. I picked up my latest #fusedglass project from the shop yesterday and she's gorgeous
2. I just finished doing the "heavy lifting" #instructionaldesign work on a course I'm helping a faculty member with
3. watching the cats play with their catnip mice like they're wild hunters, and listening to Dog Blossom "sing" to her Ducky toy
Apparently I would rather post pictures than work today, who knew?
This is an "in progress" shot of the crocheted kimono I'm working on. The pattern is there is no pattern, I am 100% winging this sucker. I've split for the two sides now and am still contemplating how to finish it. But I love it.
#ThreeGoodThings
1. the team retreat thing yesterday turned out to be both fun and informative
2. after I'm not even sure how many years I figured out a solution to the cupboard doors above the fridge not opening (because I didn't measure right) - and it was cheap & cheerful
3. my breakfast today is overnight oats with plenty of cinnamon and some dried figs

This is a sampling 😉 The tiny red rose was #1, added the script around it later. The pic of my back - all 4 done at different times, the sugar skull and bee/daisies were totally original works by my artist. The arm pics are the same arm - upper and lower. Upper arm has 2 pieces done at separate times, Greenman is my original design. Lower arm is most recent, also my original design.

All of today's work tasks are done. Three of tomorrow's work tasks are done.
Yes, I am excited about this.
In true "me" style I have scrapped the Drop Stitch #knit kimono and changed it to be a #crochet kimono of my own mad scientist design (which means I'm just making it up as I go). I am very much liking the way the multicolor is working up and I think adding in solid colored stripes is going to be a really nice effect.
Plus, I think I really want to wear this next week to a work retreat, and the knitting just was not going fast enough to suit me, so... 🤣
Thinking that perhaps the next project is going to be this cardigan using this assortment of yarn, so like I'll do some stripe action...
