1. I made the most amazing "veggie mess" to go with our salmon last night - not really a stir fry but similar, used anything I could find that seemed appropriate and it was awesome
2. today is CSA bag day which means more great local produce comes home with me
3. looking at my dance card for Saturday and it's packed - looking forward to it

BONUS - I'm just past the 1/2way point with the Sorceress Shawl project

Morning y'all! I took a brief, spontaneous break from screens over the long weekend. I missed you all, but I had a good time. Photo collage as tax. 😉

1. it's raining today
2. I had a really relaxing and productive long weekend
3. I'm almost to the 1/2 way point with the Sorceress Scarf (top pic)

1. I work for someone who knows that if he really doesn't want the answer, he shouldn't ask the question. And then he listens when I ask.
2. I learned to do the mosaic so that I can lead a demo at an education day event that my local and guild is having in the fall, and all of that makes me happy
3. tonight is date night, tomorrow is farmer's market, guild meetup, then friends over for dinner and games

BONUS - I don't go back to work until 7/5 😎

1. I've been making good progress on some projects at work
2. I get to see some of my work friends tomorrow because we're doing a "mini" retreat - we'll hopefully get to see our new offices then as well
3. we finally got some rain this morning

BONUS - I'm going to watch a webinar this afternoon so I plan to work on a charity project while I watch

1. I started a new project last night and I'm learning how to do the herringbone stitch - I love it
2. we're making plans to have some friends over this weekend for dinner and board games
3. the valance for the cat suite is coming along nicely; the yarn is striping in a very lovely way (pic to come later)

is a mindset y'all, and it's a beautiful place to be ❤️

I have no idea who else might be in the greater Omaha metro area, but if you are and you are at all involved in then you are welcome to join us

1. I got up early this morning and did some before getting ready for work
2. today is tattoo day 🤩
3. one of my friends is coming over tomorrow to learn how to and for dinner

1. I changed up my breakfast routine with a homemade smoothie this morning
2. I spent some time before getting ready for work today
3. I am on campus and looking fierce (and trying really hard not to focus on the fact that what I'm doing right now amounts to polishing a turd)

There's next to no natural light right now even though it's 11:30am, so please excuse the crap quality of these photos.

On the left we have a scarf using a lace weight yarn that I think was from Knit Picks, but I don't have the info anymore. The pattern is a diamond lace I found online.

On the right is the Meadow Lace Shrug I've been working on. I ended up taking it out and starting over and am very glad I did.

"These colors look horrid with my fur, what the fuck were you thinking Mother?"

Eric was not super impressed with me trying to this morning, but I am very much enjoying my project. I needed a project that's not overly mentally taxing right now, and this is perfect. The yarn is Cascade Merino Dream.

The Sea Dragon Shawl, finally finished. I did modify it slightly - instead of picking up all of the stitches along the top and then working the 6 row border I opted for a row of single crochet. That meant I could work my stitches over the ends that would have needed to be woven in and it doesn't need to be blocked. Loved this pattern, definitely recommend. Eric and Garth included for scale.

Sea Dragon Shawl in progress. I'm hoping to get a lot of done today since I took a holiday from work.

Eric was "helping" with my Sea Dragon Shawl (ravelry.com/patterns/library/s) this morning, one of my projects. On the right, the finished Frankenmitts. I need to weave in the ends and then gift them. Yay!

One completely finished item - the Cable it Up scarf - and one half done item, one of the fingerless mitts for another friend of mine. That pattern is a bit of cobbled together stuff I found through trial and error.

Today's hand knit is funky. This is the Nautilus Shawl (ravelry.com/patterns/library/n) and I actually used the recommended yarn for this one.
