@Liliki @wolfwoman Respectfully, it takes sperm and an egg. One comes from men. The other comes from women. Therefore, conception is a mutual act except in a forced situation such as rape.
I agree that birth control should be available for both sexes though.
@ecksmc It pays to be skeptical. But you can't completely discount every piece of information you hear. That's no way to live. In fact, it's probably impossible.
Everyone has to be careful in the information they consume. Practice media literacy. The truth won't mind if you're skeptical but mistruths will.
@Bliss I never worked in food service but if this place is reputable and he lacks experience, if they hire him they should train him. I think at a specialty place like this they would have to train every cook how to make the dishes on their menu. He should express a willingness to learn during his interview if he wants the job.
@Tetcny Because people are most paying attention right now. Right now has the greatest impact. My own experience is that there's about a 2-week window before an event when people will pay the most attention.

My youngest & a large team are on their way to Southeast Asia for a human trafficking awareness mission.
I can’t divulge details but upon their return they aim to inform the public about the signs of trafficking, promote prevention strategies, and support survivors.
By collaborating with other organizations the goal is to create a more informed society that actively works to combat trafficking in all its forms.
Thoughts for their care and safety on this important trip are appreciated. 💜

I heard this term the other day: Conflict Entrepreneur
Here's a legal definition:
Conflict entrepreneur refers to a group or individual who promote conflict for profit. They exist inside or outside government. Usually, a conflict entrepreneur engages in or directly benefit from illegal economic activity that promotes violence or undermines efforts for good governance and economic development.
Stop and consider before clicking or engaging. Who is profiting from my fear or anger?
@NiveusLepus I had a similar experience last night. I don't mind times when we reconnect in spite of my own best plans and intentions. Tomorrow is another day.

There's an elderly gentleman who came to the soup kitchen today, to get some food items from our pantry. During the storm, his mobile home was hit in the center by a falling tree, but he's been living in it. He got the food he needed and went back home. He came back about half an hour later, red-faced and crying. He showed hubs an envelope with a check from FEMA for $13,000.

@wolfwoman Not all vasectomies are reversible and among those that are, who's going to pay the cost? It's an elective surgery that is not covered under medical insurance.
I trust women to make decisions about their own bodies. I understand your pain but this isn't the right way to get men to support your cause.
And there are a lot of us that already do. 👍 I'm married and have 2 daughters. They are both on birth control to help control their period pain which runs in the family.
