There are in his thinking too: He valued reason too highly and was overly proud of his intellect. There are limits to our understanding, to what science can answer. Beyond reason lies but reason will take you to the doors of it.

There is no neutral position. Following the leads us to . Personally, I regard the multiverse as science fiction because it is. If anyone is honest with themself and accepts the conclusions of modern science, then concluding that there must be a Creator God behind the curtain becomes the most rational choice based on science.

People who think God used evolution to create life are Evolutionary Creationists. And there are others. All of them are based on real world science except YEC.

Let's talk about for a moment. Faith isn't something restricted to religious expression. Faith isn't rare and is never blind. We all use faith every day. All of us. Because no human has perfect knowledge, we go about our daily lives trusting that things will go a certain way.

"Possibilities for the Christmas Star" with astronomers Jeff Zweerink and Hugh Ross

Followers may be surprised that I am both a Christian and love science but I do. Here are two videos exploring the science behind the Christmas star as described in scripture. While we cannot draw a clear conclusion about what it was we can rule out some possibilities.

"Being Led by the Christmas Star" with David Bock

In this short video astronomer Jeff Zweerink shares a few of the many reasons why I believe there is a God who created everything. He created the entire universe so that we might have a nice place to live. Seriously. All of the fine-tuning details about our planet and beyond lead to this conclusion.

The Law Ep. 2 - The Prophets
by The Bible Project

youtube.com/watch?v=-YrZ1iPiBQ

Another great podcast. I will have to ruminate on what I learned. The more I learn about scripture the more I think it was very practical in its day. That has been obscured over the past several millennia. We can recover that and we should.

The Law Ep. 1: The Reason the Old Testament Laws Exist
by The Bible Project

youtube.com/watch?v=LVYszo2Das

These are wonderful podcasts. The two hosts have a great chemistry together. This series gently explains and explores christian theology through the lens of ancient Israel. Personally, I'm learning a lot. Won't you join me in that journey?

Christianity and science are not contradictory. They are not opposites and science hasn't disproven the need for God's existence. Read this passage describing an ancient airborne illness. In the same verse the afflicted are commanded to wear a mask (cover the upper lip) and be socially distant (cry out "Unclean!" so others stay away). This was good medical advice back then and remains best practice now with the pandemic.

Good morning CoSo!

American Christians are known more for what they are against than what they stand for. This is wrong and violates the biblical principles found in 1 Corinthians 5:11-13. Recall Jesus' words that it should be "our love for one another" that will identify us as Christians to the outside world. Instead of protesting (outward) we need to clean our house (inward) and see to the spiritual upbringing of our own.
