P.S. I will remain a paid Co-Sojourner during my hiatus, so even without me here, I'll still be contributing to the work @th3j35t3r is doing for all of us.

Hey Folks,

Don't worry if you don't see me for a while, I'm taking a break from Counter.Social for a while.

I'm also seriously considering taking a break from the internet, but the job won't let me do that during working hours.

Worry is bad for me and ultimately has no useful function at this point, especially with my addictive personality.

I'll reassess after the new year.

Till then, please be excessively kind to each other!

@VirginMaryCandle

Ask the brother...

I don't have a need for it, and it hasn't been used... would you like it back or do you have a preference on who should inherit it?

@corlin
for a second there I read

Sustainable Hydrophobia...

and was thinking "is this the new zombie apocalypse?"

@process

Hopefully we have exhausted all other possibilities.

@corlin

cool, just wanted to check my general (and it is VERY general) math knowledge.

As I was trying to grasp the article, I felt like "isn't this a sorta like a bit of navel gazing?"

@corlin

βœ‹ I have questions. βœ‹

Godel's Incompleteness Theorems is the crux of my question.

Doesn't Godel's Theorems combined with "The maths of natural laws has a hidden law itself" sort imply that the hidden law may just be an artifact of the incompleteness of the underlying natural laws?

sort of like Euclid's 5 postulate is the one that, once you realize you CAN modify it, the "regularities" you thought you found in Euclidian space turn out not to be true "reality"?

@OldDude71

do you have a link to info on that withdrawal of the endorsement?

Doing my due diligence before I pass the info on..

One of my favorite scenes from the reality Netflix Show "Somebody Feed Phil". Phil was having a meal with an observant Jew, (Phil is not orthodox or very observant).

Guest: You eat bacon? Wow.

Phil: I love it!

G: What does it taste like?

P: have you ever had Turkey Bacon?

G: oh yeah, like that?

P: no, NOTHING like that! it tastes GOOOD!!!!

FTR...

The only reason I'm having Oatmilk creamer is because at the office, The youngest carton of 1/2&1/2 expired on Oct 15th.

There was one that expired in August.

The smell was, shall we say, interesting as I poured that one out!

I'm just going to say it.

Oatmilk and Almond milk, as coffee creamers makes your coffee taste just exactly what you would expect a Vegan option to make it taste.
