The plus side about this dish, as it starts to cool down. You'll see it starting to firm up and soak up what extra water is left behind from simmering on the stove, it kind of develops these neat little ripples on the top whenever it cools down. This will probably go really well with strawberry, cherry, pears, maybe even Asian pears. I've been wanting to try Asian pears with this for a while. I'm not sure how it would handle with watermelon but I am willing to give it a shot.

Taste tested and kid approved. It's got the texture of a firm fruit, jelly and very slippery against the glass. It cuts very easily and very easy to portion out for portion control. The flavor not super heavy, and it reminds me of warm soft fruit gummies but not quite as sweet. I highly recommend trying this. I might try another fruit though. Peach is good but it's not a family favorite unfortunately.

Experimenting with agar-agar fruit jelly making, it tastes lovely without any added syrup. Only four tablespoons of sugar in the heated mix and the natural sugar from the no-syrup canned peaches.

Life advice from a guy that has had a ton of practice.

When someone near and dear to you is having a tough time. The only legitimate question you can ask is, "How can I help?" Then listen very carefully. Do not offer advise, unless directly asked for. Do not try to fix the problem. Your job is to give them your complete undivided attention.

Rarely is swift action called for.

Jewish staffer resigns from Biden administration over Gaza

“My Jewish identity is the most important part of who I am, and it is all of the values that I was raised with … and all of my Jewish education, 20 years of it, that led me to this decision, and it’s how I know this is right,” Greenberg Call said. “What Israel is doing to people in Gaza and to Palestinians across the land is incredibly un-Jewish to me and such a disgrace to our ancestors.”

Youtube music gave me a 2-week trial and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. If I could afford it I'll probably sub for it. But it's going to be a while before I can.

As for the rest of the awesome 🐥 on my feed, you keep on keeping on! I'm cheering for ya all!

There's only one bird I allowed to have a megaphone on my feed. It's a canary by the way.

Hey all; I’m not here as often anymore.
Still in a dark place too much of the time and don’t want to spread negativity.

@sentientdessert @PaganMother got this from someone else here on CoSo, and I hold it close to my heart now. Every time I hear “you must tolerate my intolerance” I remind myself of this:

The rule of tolerance is a social contract. Intolerance breaks that social contract. I needn't say more.

If you have to find out your kid is trans or non-binary, it's not the schools fault. The fact they felt more comfortable telling someone other than YOU makes it a YOU problem. Go look in a mirror for a while.

This isn't just about trans women. This goes for the trans men too. Many of us were suppressed because of where we live. The multiple factors that we grew up around including lack of education and awareness of what being transgender is. For myself it took me 30 plus years to really understand who I am. I know there's some younger folks that had access to information and education about much earlier than I. Had I not masked for as long as I did in society, I wouldn't be here today.

I will say this for the other little eggs out there. If someone comes out to you and tells you that they're not the gender that they present to as, don't be afraid of them. They feel safe with you to open up and hatch, support them. They trust you to talk about it. They trust you to listen and accept them. It's not the porn, it's not a social contagion, It's a self-realization. And all we seek is safety and assurance that we're making the right decision for ourselves.

This is the latest transgender legislative assessment for the country. Imagine if you're in our shoes, and where we have to go to live in safety and with equal protections. This is why we fight in the court systems and in the legislative system. erininthemorning.com/p/anti-tr
