Transgender care and surgeries do in fact improve the lives of many, there is less than 1% margin that are dissatisfied with their treatments, even less that detransition. Is there even a single study that proves this large of a margin of people being happy with who they are after their treatments? I am a trans man that is gender fluid in identity. Sometimes I feel feminine. Sometimes I feel masculine but at the core of it all I am a man in the wrong body. It's taking my mother-in-law about 3 years to really embrace that and I'm proud of the progress she's made to accept me. There are people here that don't want me to live as I am. My sister-in-law's boyfriend, for instance, has made it very clear that he's a bigot and very ill-informed. /2

After 30 some odd years I finally live in a safe place where I can look back on why I was pushed back into the closet and dismantle the trauma from it. My husband and my son and my in-laws have proven to be the most supportive and accepting people I have ever encountered in my entire life. Mother's Day summary: mom in law loved the card and the stickers gift. Hubs kiddo and I went to the morel mushroom fest and ended up riding all the rides with my kiddo, scared the hell out of myself with the tower drop ride, pretty sure that one won't get another visit from me again next year 😂 but we had a blast.
