A few months before my husband died, I was having one of those evenings wherein I wanted cupcakes but did not want to make cupcakes.

I complained of this to my husband, who said, "Do you want cupcakes?"

"You don't have to make me cupcakes," I said.

He smiled. "I know. Do you want cupcakes?"

I think of this now every time I make myself cupcakes. #grief
