I rarely am in the mood for sweets. I often look at them and think they sound good, but don't really want them...

This morning, though, I wanted sweet indulgence. So I ordered from my favorite coffee place, which also has world-class croissants.

These are a Ferrero Rocher Roulette and a Cookie Butter Cube.

Imagine the best croissant you've ever had--buttery, with loads of tissue-paper thin layers, crispy on the outside... shaped, with a hazelnut-chocolate or biscoff filling.

Amazing.

Recipe first... And I used ground turkey instead of beef and eliminated the cilantro because why would I add soap???

Maybe I need to grow my nails.

Meet Takamaru-kun, the mascot of Hirosaki City in Aomori. He and the city flower, sakura, are drawn against a cherry blossom background. He's meant to be modelled after the Hirosaki Castle hawk which wore the helmet of Tsugaru Tamenobu.
