This might not be a popular idea but I want to toss it out there.
It's a thought experiment. I am neither in favor or dead-set against the idea.
For all of our lives and for thousands of years we've been used to the concept of nations, countries. Western Europe is an alliance, like Africa.
What if America became another Europe? What if this one continent, in between Mexico and Canada, there existed several small countries. Why do we have to insist that the nation stay unified?

With all the child molesters who turn out to be MAGAts, I've come to understand that "Think of the children" means something entirely different to them than what we mean when we say it.

For some reason the right hates everything about people that they have no control over; where they were born, what gender they were born with, what gender their brain says they are, what color their skin is, etc.
But they refuse to hold people accountable for those parts of their character they have consciously chosen like their political views and their religious views.
They hate us for what we are but excuse themselves for what they've become.

George Santos’s campaign has announced the official theme song for his upcoming run for president:

If the Republican habit of lying about everything, even when there’s no need or when it hurts their own constituents, catches on, the future is going to weirder than we can imagine. Psychotics and those suffering from multiple-personality syndrome will be the most comfortable with it.

If anyone wants to know what the Republican party is trying to panic America about, consider what aspects of white, Christian, and male privilege are disappearing.
Religion
Marriage
Gender
Immigrants/people of color
Power
Influence

They're accustomed to setting the standards, and when they started seeing their exaulted status becoming irrelevant, they started leaning hard to the right in order to maintain it. They'll destroy democracy to do so.

Remember this precious family moment between Cruz and one of his daughters?

If DJT wasn't so egotistical, he'd plead insanity to any charge brought against him. I think most Americans would agree he's insane.
But his personality is going to be his downfall.

I almost, ALMOST, feel sorry for old, decrepit DJT.
His friends are jumping ship. His cult is beginning to notice how much they’ve been scammed, and even Putin doesn’t appear to be interested in helping Donnie this time around. No surprise, he was of minimal use to Putin as president, always grifting to his own advantage first.
Poke him with a fork, he’s done.

This has become the theater (theatre, just for @FrankCannon) of the absurd. It's a drama written by Terry Gilliam. I'm becoming captivated. You can't find anything this dramatic yet farcical on TV these days. I hope it goes into syndication.

Let me see if I can keep a straight face until the end of this posting.
So Kanye West and Nick Fuentes went to Mar-a-Lago a week after DJT announced he was waddling for president and invited him to be Kanye's running mate in 2024? Kanye asked the most egotistic and thin-skinned man he would ever know outside his own bathroom mirror to serve as his vice president?

I like to remind evangelicals that if they allow religion to get involved in politics, the government will get involved in religion.
One small example.
The church used to determine holy days ("remember the Sabbath to keep it holy") but now the government determines holy days (holidays). The government only respects religion's ability to keep its people in line.

Today's the day we commemorate our first act of biological warfare and genocide as a nation against native nations.
Since we prevailed and benefitted from that, we kept doing it, and are still doing it today.

The Republican plan to fix (stop) immigration is to turn America into the kind of country no one in their right mind would want to immigrate to.

All day today we'll hear Republicans lie about how they support the troops and admire our veterans. Then they'll return to their coffins in the basement of Congress and vote against every bill that aids vets.

Everyone's talking about what this election taught the Republicans and Trump. But what lessons are democrats and progressives taking away? What were we taught?

Everything the right espouses is contrary to the ideals of America.

#45 said at his recent rally that "I ran twice, I won twice...".
If his cult believes that, then they have to admit he isn't eligible to run again. Presidents are limited to two terms.
