I am inspired by @DallasBarnett and his #findingyourtribe hash tag. Going to treat it like phases challenge, but instead with pictures as a way to introduce yourself to CoSoNauts new and old.
So here we go! Post up to 4 pictures/memes/gifs that show what you enjoy.
Oh.
My.
God.
I love this song. Everything about it is literally perfect. It's got an incredibly catchy beat. It's short and to the point, it deals with complex and messy emotions, and Emelia's vocals really sell the self-loathing, fear, love, and happiness all wrapped up in a ball of emotions.
It's 2-1/2 minutes long. You might end up listening to it for 10.
Ur Perfect, I Hate It - Micky Valen f. Emelia Ali (2020)
It's crate digging night for you guys tonight on #CoSoMusic.
I'm starting out with like 5 - 6 rap songs, and then I'm gonna go for the real eclectic stuff. I'll do my best to keep this threaded but no guarantees.
Hang on, and if you hear something you really like lemme know and I can send more recommendations your way.
I post this every so often. It's telling that one of the most insightful pieces of the last 2 years was on a comedy site. The only way to avoid being suckered by a cult of personality is to realize that you, yes *you* can fall for it too.
"One day, very soon, your personal Donald Trump will come along. It'll be all of the same tricks, only perfectly tailored to your beliefs and pent-up rage."

You ever come across a piece of media so bizarre and random, but yet entirely too well produced to be amateur piece of media and wonder if it's the activation song for some sleep cell?
Thats what I get from this song and video.
Like I feel like I stumbled on like some super creepy thing.
You ever love a song but never see the actual music for it until years later?
And realize that someone made a video that was just so overly and obnoxiously over the top in every way just because they could
Pendulum - Watercolor
I haven't posted any Louis Cole in forever time to change that.
If you by any chance enjoy guitar solos or drum solos, this is your shit.
Louis Cole f. The Fearless Flyers - Bank Account Live in Amsterdam
You ever think about much of J Cole being so great revolves around him holding the each of his emphasis words just a eight of a bit too long for an entire song?
(This is a good thing)

This may seem like an obvious point, but I am making it for myself as well as anyone else who might benefit.
Don’t spend ANY of your precious time and life force reading, watching, or listening to the glee of those who praise this election outcome.
Not everyone who voted for DJT is like this, of course.
But for those who are spitefully pleased? Turn them off in your mind.
They’ve gained so much—don’t give that part of you away.

One day, people are gonna realize the everlasting harm that the War on Terror caused on the home front.
One day people will realize how much damage unchecked access to PsyOp tactics, materials, and SOPs caused to this country.
Because whooo boy if you don't think that Eric Prince and Mike Flynn and other RW junior officers (like Posobiec) haven't been following the playbook we had for the Iraqis/Afghanis
It works here because those who have the power want in on the grift instead.
All I got to say is this and i'm back to biting my tongue:
You are best to realize that this... election, it's going to break the typical support systems and old reliable African American democratic voting patterns.
You aren't going to see more people voting for trump, but best believe you are going to see historic levels of apathy from this community in 2026 and 2028.
Good luck I guess.
Maybe time heals this, but I haven't seen my community ever reach this point of us going eff off y'all gonna find out the hard way.
You are going to see the African American community retreat into our own spaces and pretty much sit out these fights for a while.
It doesn't matter.
Groups chasing "model minority" status, we're gonna laugh at you when white supremacy pulls the rug from under you again. Look at how they used the Asians students to repeal affirmative action.
We needed y'all to show up.
You didn't.
So right now, if you aren't in the personal circles or Twitter or whatever (and you definitely aren't being invited at this point) you aren't hearing or seeing how betrayed we feel.
So what's happening is that a lot of us are giving up on you.
We show up for support for Israel.
We show up for support for Gaza.
We offer support when your town floods.
When you actually feel injustice against you.
But in the reverse? Crickets.
Why your black friends are (probably) acting different for next few months (to years) - a brief bit of venting
I've been sitting on this for the better part of two years hoping to find the most diplomatic way to broach the subject.
At this point screw it, you get what I say raw and unfiltered.
Your black friends, family members, co-workers etc likely feel pretty betrayed by you right now.
Having Trump win because of a couple thousand voters in a swing state, eh we dealt with racism years.

I have met a few old warriors.
Not many young ones.
Old warriors, have eyes that are deep pools of compassion.
They have the patience of trees.
They talk little, but can move quickly.
The tools they use, they know like the back of their hands.
They are quick to smile, and never get angry.
For they know the warriors code.
Never use force, unless it is needed, and then use it overwhelmingly.
Never bluff, nor threaten.
Commit totally.
Be guided only by great feelings of love.

Also to note:
Celebrity endorsements don't really matter anymore.
It's YouTube channels, it's micro influencers, it's targeting hyper specific messages using accounts with 300 or so followers that win you trust and votes in the misinformation age.
They do it far better and they all stay on the same message.
They close ranks and protect their propaganda.
We allow them in thinking we are being tolerant, and they use that to poison our message.
#FUNFACT All your Twitter data including DM's are Trump and Elon's property to use as they see fit now.
I mentioned this a few years ago, but now that it's likely that Democrats lost the popular vote as well:
Y'all gotta realize that you aren't fighting ideals or values anymore. You are fighting algorithms. You are fighting YouTube radicalization. You are fighting sensational content.
The Andrew Tates and the Joe Rogans and the FaZe clans are more influential than any debate or policy decision right now.
You don't have the firepower or the strategy to fight back.
