Don't have anything to offer today other than counter programming for the election.

Enjoy a classic tune in the world of electronic music.

@rpardee If you use corporate tools, made by corporate tools, they'll turn you into a tool.

The internet used to be full of _everyone's_ personal sites, hobby sites, forums. People connected to each other and subcommunities connected with each other.

We don't have to leave the internet to leave Corporate Tool-Hell. We just have to stop using their tools.

Western New York is nicer than everyone tells you. Other than the high taxes it's absolutely gorgeous.

I don't mind letting the secret out.

I enjoy how Tom Brady talks like he's a crappy text to voice program from the mid 90s that occasionally gets stuck trying to find the right word.

Hey you, election voter.

Do you know what the prop votes mean on your ballot this fall?

Do you understand what you are doing when you vote yes or no on the weaselly worded item on your ballot?

Especially if you don't live in a swing state, these propositions and amendments are something your vote has a tremendous effect on.

Find out what is on the ballot, and make sure you are making the decision, not someone who is tricking you by the way they word something.

^^ Last thing on this, don't believe me. Go back and play On Bended Knee which is close to the same level of corny lyrics wise.

The person playing keys doesn't sell it as much. It's too confident so the words and melodies sound the same but it doesn't reach the same level of yearing, the same levels of authenticity.

^^Especially with everything being so much less sincere here 30 years later. We're too online, no one can let it all hang out there anymore without being judged on social media anymore.

The level of vulnerability on this song is out control but even 30 years later, the sincerity doesn't work without that keyboard player selling it.

If he or she doesn't put every heartache, every disappointment, every...thing into each of those first 10 or so minor chords this song flops.

It's such genius.

You ever sit and listen to how overly dramatic the electric piano is on Boyz II Men's - End of the Road (1992) and how it really helps make the song?

Like the lyrics are so over the top if you don't have anything other than that super electrically synth piano bearing the weight of an entire god damn song, then this song is unintentionally the funniest song ever.

But that electric piano just is :chefskiss:

I can't think of a producer who deserves more credit than Robert "Shep" Pettibone who was writer, producer, and mixer on Madonna's Vogue.

The way Madonna's voice is mixed to where it sounds like she's walking sultry towards you just by the way she's pronouncing her words to the way every set of vocals hits and expands like a lightning bolt... 😍😍

Pop music sometimes becomes popular because it's actually good.

Dub step / whatever style you call this fell out of being popular so long ago.

But for this to have been from a mid name band that happened to steal the show from a much bigger name DJ back in the day is criminal.

The moment I saw hear this song mixed with the visuals in stage I knew it'd never be another moment like it.

Take a chance on this if you like electronic music. There's something special here.

Did you ever sit and realize that the reason we don't have as many televangelists as we used to 30 years ago, is because now we call them streamers?

This is from an article in the Guardian but, I am... Honestly I don't know.

One paragraph shouldn't elicit so many different emotions.

Hurricane Milton is gonna be awful y'all.

This is a super shitty take. The PR machine is gonna go into overdrive now to blame this all on Lady Gaga to try to save face.

Lady Gaga is staring down a harassment campaign not seen since the last major Disney release with a leading lady.

You ever work on something creative and accidentally find an absolutely brilliant way to end what you're working on, only to realize ending the project there is nowhere near where you pictured the ending being?

I have been on a weeklong reign of terror in the office incorporating Creed lyrics into every meeting.

I don't know if my employees hate me or really really hate me.

Maybe they'll mutiny and get a new boss soon.

But if I had just one wish. Only one demand. I hope their new boss is not like me. I hope he understands...

😁

You ever realize broadcast sports announcers are essentially digital bards?

The whole reason they are highly paid is because they are able to weave a story instantaneously about live events in a way that makes it memorable to us?

My Carolina Panthers are so damn bad, they made this man give up his whole ass hobby in life.

They keep mentioning New Jersey and the Dominican population in New Jersey is one of the highest in the nation. The strategy doesn't have to make sense if it works.

Remember how they strategy was to pretend to like Goya to help pull Cuban to the right.
