The internet used to be full of _everyone's_ personal sites, hobby sites, forums. People connected to each other and subcommunities connected with each other.
We don't have to leave the internet to leave Corporate Tool-Hell. We just have to stop using their tools.

Do you know what the prop votes mean on your ballot this fall?
Do you understand what you are doing when you vote yes or no on the weaselly worded item on your ballot?
Especially if you don't live in a swing state, these propositions and amendments are something your vote has a tremendous effect on.
Find out what is on the ballot, and make sure you are making the decision, not someone who is tricking you by the way they word something.

The person playing keys doesn't sell it as much. It's too confident so the words and melodies sound the same but it doesn't reach the same level of yearing, the same levels of authenticity.
^^Especially with everything being so much less sincere here 30 years later. We're too online, no one can let it all hang out there anymore without being judged on social media anymore.
The level of vulnerability on this song is out control but even 30 years later, the sincerity doesn't work without that keyboard player selling it.
If he or she doesn't put every heartache, every disappointment, every...thing into each of those first 10 or so minor chords this song flops.
It's such genius.
You ever sit and listen to how overly dramatic the electric piano is on Boyz II Men's - End of the Road (1992) and how it really helps make the song?
Like the lyrics are so over the top if you don't have anything other than that super electrically synth piano bearing the weight of an entire god damn song, then this song is unintentionally the funniest song ever.
But that electric piano just is 
I can't think of a producer who deserves more credit than Robert "Shep" Pettibone who was writer, producer, and mixer on Madonna's Vogue.
The way Madonna's voice is mixed to where it sounds like she's walking sultry towards you just by the way she's pronouncing her words to the way every set of vocals hits and expands like a lightning bolt... 😍😍
Pop music sometimes becomes popular because it's actually good.
Dub step / whatever style you call this fell out of being popular so long ago.
But for this to have been from a mid name band that happened to steal the show from a much bigger name DJ back in the day is criminal.
The moment I saw hear this song mixed with the visuals in stage I knew it'd never be another moment like it.
Take a chance on this if you like electronic music. There's something special here.
