Yes. Helping a friend work on their place. Rain for the last week at 4000', a break for sun yesterday and this morning.

Big Island - the round rock is a green sea turtle on black sand beach - doesn't seem to load, next post maybe. Kilauea taking a back seat to Iceland, Sicily and...southern hemisphere somewhere I've forgotten.

Happy everyone!
I seem to remember when I wandered in shortly after liftoff there were a lot of cosplaying; dragons and witches and nymphs and Pan running around chasing same and I thought I was going to have to adopt a character and play it throughout...never having D&D'd or such I was a bit cautious ... and curious. I am so glad I hung on and returned periodically until it became a comfort to stop by and join in at times. I am NOT a joiner, but CoSo has helped me crawl out a bit.

@DrJackBrown
Is that 2 different black holes?
Oldest in the universe, or the Milky Way?
Occurs to me to ask if we've been observing any planets or black holes outside of the Milky Way.

I hadn't considered it before. But now that I am, I know that we have observed galaxies that are close to the beginning of the universe not just our galaxy. Not sure if we have observed black holes or planets outside of our galaxy but I know we have seen galaxies out at the edge of the start of the universe.

@CoyoteConscious @AskTheDevil
Agreed, whichever one it is, I'd rather be darker in the morning and later at night. I think the only people that affects are school children waiting for the bus?

@sazemisery
No worries, "later" translates no matter the zone, unless Arizona.

@sazemisery
Okay, I can't do the math. Is Rachel on an hour earlier or an hour later?

@corlin @tyghebright
Much of the earliest work and initial burns were conducted in northern Arizona led by Northern Arizona University and the Forest Service. We recognized our urban wildland interface was a particular danger a long time ago in the largest ponderosa pine forest in the world.

@AskTheDevil
Well crap. I like DST. You can stay on that. I like it. Later. You don't need light to get up. Get up in the dark. Make your coffee, move slowly. Gradually come into the day, enjoy the sunrise. It'll be light soon enough.

Now, it's dark at 5: 30.
Can't work outside. Seems like it's time to put on my jammies and go to bed. I lose/waste hours in the wintertime because it's dark. 🌃😴

@Ironworker229 @LiberalLibrarian
Woof! 120!? 😵‍💫 Geebus CrackerJack!
Even Turkey 101 is too much for my Irish whiskey loving 80 proof palate.

@scottyorange
Two Buck Chuck - always a favorite.
But I'm not picky. Most bottom shelf wines are just fine. I pick them by the artwork on the labels. If the wine were bad on my tongue, at least the label was tasty for my eyes.

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN
At $80 an hour I'll be over to fix anything you've got. And I mean anything.

I'm watching The Death of Stalin, and then I hope to see Swan Lake soon.

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN
Pound some bamboo chopsticks into those holes and break them off.
You can squirt in a little white glue if you want.
You're good to go!.

Seeing a lot of assumptions that people calling for a ceasefire are liberals who just learned where gaza is 2 weeks ago, or brainwashed students, or antisemitic who don’t believe Israel has a right to exist or defend it’s people from atrocities like oct7.

That doesn’t reflect any of the people I’ve known, calling attention to the suffering of the people in , for over 20 years. So here’s a thread, to share the history as I experienced it of Americans supporting Palestinians.
