@redenigma @corlin
Sounds like they didn't collect it into slash piles to burn when conditions were right. Oversight fail.

@corlin
Yes, and retrofitting existing homes and having codes requiring new homes and structures be fire resistant is optimal. Seems it will follow local regs as feds can't have much effect at that level.

@corlin
But if you thin the forest and do control burns on the understory, you don't get the ladder fuels to start the monstrous flames that can carry those coals. So thin the forests is still the 1st step. Clear your home site and have a fireproof group is the second.

@SECRET_ASIAN_MAN
Exceptional effort on their part!
You were also exceptional for keeping your opinions to yourself and letting them show you NOTHING gets in the way of women and their goals!

Happy 102nd birthday to my mom, who passed on to the next adventure in 2011. She was June Cleaver to my Beaver kidhood. 🫶

@DrJackBrown
But, if I vote 3rd party, all of a sudden American politics will be all better. /s

@Maude
And I want the kind of girl who'll whip around and stare at me sternly, then crook her finger at me with a wink.

@Geekgirlforever
Lovely color! A shimmering shade that looks great! 👏 🤟

@MisterEricOG
Dang, Eric, I thought your Q was good, and my answer too. Thought they would get more traction here. Well, no accounting for taste, or funny bones.

@JeffRome2023
If I recall last night I read that it sat in the cask for 60 years, then bottled. So, bottled in 1986? Or casked in 1866 and bottled in 1926?

Inquiring minds want to know.

@Minholkin
Great idea! 🩵 I keep flipping my 2nd half neurotically but then both sides get half soggy 😆

Lunch in Waimea on a Sunday drive during my 2 week stay. Just about to leave when someone walks up to me and asks my name. I recognize my now 10 year older friend immediately, though I'd seen him earlier. A river buddy from Washington State that I've spent months with in Grand Canyon, now living here. What are the odds?

A visit to his house, whiskey and beers followed. Promises to stay in touch after an hour visit, and the world is smaller and better than it was just before lunch.

@Mandypar
G'morning Mandy. As usual I'm headed to bed as you're rising. May you have a great day. Take care of yourself, and others when you can. xo!

@northernbassist

@Nordicfae
3100 homeless out of a population of less than 300,000? So ~1% homeless?
WE have 1500 out of half a million in CoSpgs, That's 0.3 %, or one third - and folks here think it's a HUGE problem.

@Museek
I love that you're doing this and giving us freely of your research for our enlightenment, perspective and delight. I loved seeing your beadwork, and now this. Thank you so much!
