(Now for Something Special. This is neither jazz nor classical, but a masterpiece in scoring voice and instrument to evoke a mood.)

Another week, another concert. This one I'm piano accompanist for someone else's choir. T-minus 18 minutes.
Some quick notes...
The IDF did not close the Rafah Crossing when they took control of the Gaza side of the crossing. Egypt closed their side of the Rafah Crossing (again).
The IDF did not close the Kerem Shalom Crossing either. Hamas did that by repeatedly shelling and rocketing it. Israel keeps re-opening that crossing after repairs.
The IDF did not close the newly opened Erez Crossing either. Hamas did that by repeatedly shelling it.
Hamas has shelled the new USN pier 4 times, not 2.

What's especially maddening is that I can see from the unfinished portion of the basement that this cat5 was pulled with a cat6 alongside it, which goes to the outlet directly above it on the main floor. An outlet I never use, as that room is dedicated to piano things.
Oh, and the best part is that all of these cables are stapled to the joists / studs as though they were Romex. So rather than pull through a replacement myself, I might have to hire a pro to do it. 🤬
My house is less than 10 years old. The standard builders package included a cat5 run to every room, but I paid extra for them to do cat6 instead.
After upgrading my internet service a year or so ago, I had been experiencing random disconnects and link speed slowdowns to my desktop PC in my basement office area.
Today I traced all the wires in the house. The electrician installed cat6 everywhere, except two runs were cat5. Guess where one of them was?
Like millions of other people, I am horrified by the innocent civilian casualties of the war in Gaza.
I'm also furious that US media continues to report casualty figures issued by a terrorist organization as though they are fact, and that they continually fail to point out said terrorist organization is the direct or indirect cause of the vast majority of these innocent civilian casualties. And they could end it anytime they wanted.
#VerucaSalting is when someone demands that a person or group immediately conform to their views/expectations.
We have previously used the term when new members come here and start complaining that CoSo does [policy/function] differently than [other site].
We could just as well apply that term to established members who pounce on newbies that don't immediately conform to the established member's expectations (ToS violations notwithstanding).
Everyone, please be considerate. Don't be a Veruca.
