Here's a #cososec New Year's resolution in three parts:

1. Enable 2FA on every account that supports it. Use a software token (Authy, Google Authenticator) or a hardware token (YubiKey, Only Key) instead of SMS or email 2FA, if possible.

Looking for a good secure chat alternative?

Make an account at https://dismail.de and get yourself a good XMPP chat client.

Make sure to get one that can use OMEMO encryption, which Dismail supports. I like Conversations on n Android. ChatSecure is recommended for iOS.

Several of us have already migrated there from Wire. It's extremely responsive.

I previously posted about Dismail as a free encrypted email provider, which is included with your XMPP chat account.
