If you want to talk to those of us who are doing this already, you want a server that does OMEMO encryption, because that is what the private chat I set up is using.

FTR, I'm not advocating that the above solution is The Way. It is just "a" way that happens to work, and one I believe is more trustworthy and anonymous than other alternatives.
Decentralized, time-tested protocols with modern encryption are a Good Thing.
