I posted some of these before, but there are now more organizations doing this.

Coronavirus quarantine: the best live-streamed classical music concerts available... - Classic FM

My choir is performing this in a few days on a concert that will benefit the homeless living in the inner city.

It was first written for the victims of the 2004 Tsunami in Indonesia, originally a vocal duet and now a popular choral arrangement.

Its beauty is in its simplicity and pure emotion.

Thinking about all of our friends in Italy right now. I know of no better piece of music to pay tribute; their "unofficial" national anthem.

If you are not familiar with the choral music of Elaine Hagenburg, you owe it to yourself to listen. I just helped out at a choral festival where this absolutely stunning work was performed.

Enjoy this moment of pure beauty from Handel's first oratorio.

George Friedrich Handel - "Tu del Ciel ministro eletto" (You, elected minister of Heaven)

Julia Lezhneva, Dmitry Sinkovsky
Il Giardino Armonico, Giovanni Antonini

Concert night. Come to me, my pretty.

I may just be accompanying student orchestras for this one, but any opportunity to play this magnificent instrument is worth it.

Here is something very unique for both Jazz and Opera fans. If you every studied from the 24 Italian Art Songs book, you will know these songs.

"When opera star Joyce DiDonato told us she wanted to sing centuries-old Italian love songs at the Tiny Desk we weren't surprised. But when she said she was bringing a jazz band to back her up, we did a double take."

More of Prokofiev's epic depictions of war. Please read the video description for an excellent outline.

Prokofiev really understood how to capture the essence of conflict and war in music. Exhibit A:

I Wonder as I Wander - arr. S. Pilkington
Williamson Voices of Westminster Choir College
James Jordan, conductor

Pilkington is a former WCC faculty member. His arrangement is less well-known than John Rutter's, but equally beautiful.
