Even if you are not a musician, there is fascinating info here about droplets vs aerosols.
Please share this article with anyone you know who is attempting to get back to group music making too soon. It breaks my heart that we can't do this right now, but it's simply not safe.

It may be a long time before it is safe to sing together.
Here are summary notes from a webinar held yesterday, hosted by a group of choral organizations and medical specialists.

I meant to post this yesterday, as the prayer is intended for Maundy Thursday. I still encourage you to listen; it's one of my favorite choral motets.

Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki has passed. 🕯️
Do you like Beethoven? Especially when he combines choir and solo singers with orchestra, like the last movement of the 9th symphony? Then you'll love this.
Ludwig van Beethoven
Missa solemnis in D major, op.123
Edda Moser, soprano
Hanna Schwarz, mezzo-soprano
René Kollo, tenor
Kurt Moll, bass
Grosser Rundfunkchor Hilversum N.O.S. Concertgebouworkest Amsterdam Leonard Bernstein
Ludwig van Beethoven
Fugue for string quartet in B flat major ("Grosse Fuge"), Op. 133, written in 1825.
Talich Quartet
Ludwig van Beethoven
Piano sonata no 31, op.110
Sviatoslav Richter
I need to get something off my chest.
Would all of these "inspirational" videos of musicians COMING TOGETHER IN HARMONY through the POWER OF MUSIC do it with something besides BEETHOVEN'S ODE TO FUCKING JOY?!?!??!
I have nothing against Beethoven's 9th, but there is SO MUCH amazing music out there. Recycling the same few "hits" reduces "classical" music to predictable memes. It dumbs things down for the audience instead, of expanding their knowledge and experience.
