We call it "Nature"; only reluctantly admitting ourselves to be "Nature" too.
Whenever we lose track of our own obsessions, our self-concerns, because we drift for a minute, an hour even, of pure response to that insouciant life:
cloud, bird, fox, the flow of light, the dancing pilgrimage of water, vast stillness
of spellbound ephemera on a lit windowpane, animal voices, mineral hum, wind
conversing with rain, ocean with rock, stuttering of fire....

Whelp, Joe is coming into town next weekend, the table is buried in gardening and bird toy making stuff, the floors are a wreck, and I totally intend to spend the next few days trapped in my room, ignoring the world while I spend quality time with Bob the skull. This one keeps making me giggle when I pull back for an overall look. Already setting up the basic shapes on the real drawing. This will totally be part of my wall pattern.
@ToolPackinMama I was unaware women needed to be controlled. I thought they were wild, free animals, like everyone else.
@LnzyHou You at least DO engage with professionals and there's a huge difference between that and just taking a label with no questions asked. Looking up symptoms and then having them confirmed with a clinician is more self-suspecting than self-diagnosing, which I have zero issue with whatever a person's symptoms are. @tippitiwichet @AskTheDevil @tyghebright

if I die a little sooner because I loved too hard and gave too much
so be it
that's the way I want to skid into the finish line
Thinking seriously about the wall design I've wanted to do since forever (that's why my art is scattered with repeating tiles). I'm realizing I can also take the same designs and learn screen printing. I admit, my Redbubble store is because I want my own art on my own stuff 'cause Carly Simon sings to me, but their stuff not what I'm looking for. That said, I'm going to buy this on a sticker, because they do seem good for that. Then I might look into if it's worth the investment to screen print.
I keep trying to draw Celia in bloom with her sunset colored pitchers (using photos from fall), but she's right. Her blossoms look better against spring green. Ultimately it won't matter because my fav version will be the one I do to look like a blacklight poster, but it's still fun to move through examining the natural tones.
Love dogs?
Go to the link for more images of this little toupee. 😂
Nature, science, and art are super cool. Terribly sorry for the stuff that doesn't fit.
