Anxiety is spiking a little as it always has in bad weather since our flood.
I'm good. We have had a brand new back door fitted this summer and the seal is so much better. New, bigger and better drains too.

@stueytheround Bloody hell,how deep was it outside?Know that pain very well,had the house flooded in Ballymena back in '96.....3ft of water right through it.
@FrankCannon unknown at this time, its not as deep as August 2020.
Our family on both sides has had floods, either burst pipes or outside water entering the home.

Landlord is absolutely on the case.
Hopefully only 8 to 10 weeks. Might be spending Christmas in an air bnb. We can live with that! @Mauve_matelot

As things currently stand, we have 4 nights remaining at our posh pad. The carpet has been removed from the bedroom, and kitchen kickboards have been replaced at our home.
Drainage troughs are due to be added to the courtyard. I'm not sure if they will meet connected to Drains or Soakaway.
We expect another update from our letting agency in the next 48 hours.
We are due to visit family 1-9 December so it's all a bit crazy at the moment.

So our letting agency are waiting for a message from the Insurance company about next week's accommodation.
Our agency is open on Saturday's so we should know what's going on

We can see on the website that our posh pad is available till the end of the week, when we are heading to see family.
I am preparing to sit at the letting agency all day Monday to ensure our accommodation is sorted swiftly, although that does feel dramatic.

Just seen an email from our letting agency, they have not heard from the company that controls our current accommodation, so they are starting to look at Hotels with onsite parking to cover the few nights needed.
So we are in a City Centre Hotel for the few nights till we are off to my parents.
It's the same one the Insurance company put us in after the 2020 flood and this time we can have a cooked breakfast!
