My friend wanted to know how to make Pasties.

My mom was an orphan, but spent many years as a teen in a Mennonite bakery. When my dad took her home to meet his mom, (my grandmother was born and raised in Wales), this was what they bonded over. Grandmothers Pasties Recipe.

My mom made them about every two weeks, she wrapped them in wax paper and froze them. To be re-heated in oven, on cold rainy days.

I make them from memory.
But this is an ok recipe.

Let's say you want to post a longer piece.
You can easily create a "thread" by posting the first bit, then on the second post, replying to that first post by using the little left arrow at the bottom.

This then creates a thread, and a Blue Text will appear at the bottom, "Show Thread"
Just keep on replying to that your last post... And Boom you got a thread !

Did you get blocked or muted by someone here? Consider yourself lucky.

When people use the tools here, it is not punitive. You don't need to trash-talk or seek revenge. That person is no longer a cause of concern for you, and if you really think about it, that's a gift they've given you.

People are like flavors. You won't like them all and they won't all like you. Roll with it and keep being your awesome self. #CoSoTips

One of the things I really love about Coso is the sense of community.

People willing to jump in to help, friends and strangers alike.

It’s both a responsibility and a joy - being conscious of what you bring to other people’s timelines.

We all have our moments, but consider how you’re replying to someone who offers help, or someone who is posting positivity, etc.

Are you meeting them where they are, or are you just dragging them down?

There are a lot of posts on the bird from new or potential new CoSo users saying that we're a left-wing social network.

I think that perception may come from the fact that a lot of new members seem to be of that political leaning, and feature it in their profiles. (See linked post below for my thoughts on this.)

Just to be clear: ALL are welcome here, so long as you are not trolling or supporting the overthrow of democracy. We can't be a place for just one group.
