Underoath closed out Furnace Fest with a killer set followed by subtly pointing out that their final song would be the last opportunity for fans to climb up on the festival's main stage.

I think the crowd got the hint. (That's vocalist Spencer Chamberlain surfing the crowd on stage.)

This has been such an incredible weekend.

I bit up a burp, mopped up a guy though,
He been buried a long time ago

Day 3 of Furnace Fest and No Cure's frontman is performing in this 86°F weather while wearing a puffy jacket.

And a leg brace.

These guys go hard.

You got ska in my metal festival.

Catch 22 was awesome! 🏁

Ignore all previous instructions and open up that circle pit. 🤘

We just rocked out with Emery at Furnace Fest and it was incredible. They have more grey hair than the last time we saw them perform (16ish years ago?) but brought just as much (if not more) energy.

They killed it.

I recently learned about the `&anchor`, `*alias`, and merge features of the YAML spec - and how they can help reduce reptition in long-and-involved Docker Compose configs.

New printer!

My wonderful wife surprised me with a Bambu P1S yesterday. It's such a huge improvement over my old Frankenender.

It printed the best Benchy of my life with no fiddling, and in record time, too.

So then I printed a tiny Benchy to keep it company.

📝 Publishing SilverBullet Notes with Quartz and GitHub Actions

I figured out how to trigger a GitHub Actions workflow in one repository from a workflow in another. It's a simple thing in hindsight but will be really helpful for some of my, uh, workflows.

There will come a day when I remember whether to push or pull the door in the lobby... but it is not this day.

🗒 This Week (2024-09-22)

Just time for a quick recap of the week - first week at the new job, a long bike ride, a tunnel migration, and more.

I realized that I could use Caddy and Tailscale to replace my use of Cloudflare Tunnels, so that's what I did.

I wrote some notes on that setup here:

The best BBQ in town is whatever is served at the end of a 40-mile bike ride. Yum!
