I have social anxiety.
I don’t talk to strangers, don’t hang in groups, don’t do basic things most people do in terms of socializing. I don’t say a percentage of what I’m thinking even when it’s totally reasonable to share.
Know what can really mess up a person with social anxiety? Social media. 🫠
But here, I don’t really have that issue. I’ve encountered people I’ve become friends with.
It helps counter the social anxiety.
So thanks to CoSo, its creators and continuators.
You’re a gift.
Out of respect for our beloved CoSo community, I haven't posted much about recent experiences on other platforms. However, many here are aware that we rural CoSonauts often have to deal with the challenge of access to realtime info relevant to our respective specific locales. Last week, that subject came up in a private local FB group in regard to the ongoing mass migration to #Bluesky. This was/is my take.

Good morning CoSo 💛
Happy Birthday to this amazing place and wonderful community!
So grateful to be here with you ☕️🌻🫖
We can now use the hashtag #gatherhere to reach out when we're struggling or to suggest and discuss ways we can not only make our world better but also each other.
Thanks to @ceorl for bringing the hashtag back to the forefront.💙
I'm fantasizing about whacking whomever programmed the state's online vehicle tag renewal system with a clue-by-four. POS throws you into a recursive loop if emailed renewal notices are not accepted, thus preventing electronic checkout. That's some sus 💩!
Had to drive into town and deal with DMV in person. I was polite about it, but still... 🤬
The Onion has purchased Infowars, the infamous rightwing conspiracy theory hub helmed by Alex Jones. And no, this is not a joke.
Its plan involves turning the rightwing site into one big joke.
"This is going to be our answer to this no-guardrails world where there are no gatekeepers, and everything’s kind of insane." - Ben Collins, the chief executive of The Onion's parent company, Global Tetrahedron, told the New York Times.

#20Artists20days. Your favorites, those that move you etc. Any reason. Post with art example if you like.
Day 1: OK, bear with me here. If you're not someone who can separate art from the artist, you probably should not read further.
I'm not praising the man or his "beliefs", but the art of Stanislaw Szukalksi (sculpture, painting, drawing) is quite astonishing to me. It's new every time I look at it. Somewhere between H. R. Giger and the perfect yet alien asymmetries of Frank Lloyd Wright.
One of the things that may help us through the coming few years will be building communities based on shared interests that promote positive and creative endeavors...
More of this #20Artists20days sort of thing, please.
Just saw a thing about #20artists20days and sorry, I got commitment issues over that, but here's one of my favourite illustrators ever:

First came across his work around 30 years ago in a shop somewhere around Charing Cross Road that had a stand full of postcards outside.
YaYoi Kusama and Psychedelic Schizophrenia

#20Artists20days Any reason, no reason. Day 6 Yayoi Kusama
I discovered 8 her years ago, and she is a favorite.
Kusama has Schizophrenic tendencies, hallucinations and etc. She moved into a mental institution in 1977 & still lives there, her studio across the road.
She is known for infinity rooms/nets, polka dots and installation art. Go to an exhibit if you can!
My take is that she sees the universe at the cellular & atomic level, enough to make anyone "crazy"
