Well, it looks like Monday is gearing up to be quite a soaker. What condition some of these rural roads might be in on Tuesday is anyone's guess. Not worried about getting my son and I to our polling place - 4WD FTW!

Had the pleasure today of kicking around Mountain Home with my youngest. The fabulous afternoon rays at Flashbacks Retroshop made capturing this image irresistible.

Peace, love, and groovy vibes to all y'all. 💖

Well, it's currently 67°F and blissfully peaceful in my neck o' . Sitting on the stoop, there's patchy light fog on the ground, but a handful of pretty, twinkling stars overhead. One of my bunny neighbors stopped by to say hello, and this busy tank of an armadillo has got to be one of the largest ones I've ever seen-- bigger than a basketball!

So, of course I kept 15 home the past two days. Thank goodness Ms. Dewey, the MHPS superintendent, had the sense and compassion to excuse those absences. Of course, naturally, it's time to get everyone back on track.

My oldest died only two years ago.

This past April, 23 survived a rollover wreck.

My youngest attends American public school in .

Looks like ETA for the Twin Lakes area is around 5:30.

The highlighted area is under a tornado watch. Whatever's going to happen is still a couple of hours away from my humble blue dot. At least 15 should be safely home well before showtime.

Prescribed burns throughout the Twin Lakes area are giving a sultry warm glow to tonight's moonrise.

So, @TerraFang 's school district opted for early dismissal today. This is <1 hour of accumulation right now. Safe travels to all affected.

Meanwhile, in the Twin Lakes area of , the upcoming solar in early April is getting increased attention from residents in the path of totality.

This video has no audio, but its representation of said path from Mexico to Canada is pretty cool. Enjoy.
