I agree with you that they focus on EVERYONE having more influence than themselves. But if you look at ad revenue and subscribers, X and Truth Social is down and, wait for it, New York Times and traditional media is UP.

In fact, NYT has been up five years running And Twitter? It’s an excruciating death in slow motion.

The whole meme (and is a meme, it really is not fact) is that a company is incapable of innovation without protection. Pure and absolute bullshit. TODAY companies absolutely DEPEND on products that were developed for free. Innovative code written because someone thought it was interesting/fun/important.

You know who profits from this? Companies who argue they have to make EXCESSIVE profits to be innovative.

If people are wondering why I’m not posting as much, is because when this clusterfuck was only a possibility I trusted America to not be a bunch of racist sexist rapey people who want to make Handmaids Tale look inspirational. I truly believed the younger generation would make a good decision. They complained when we were in charge of things.

Now I realize their complaint was we were TOO centrist and not right wing enough.

I wish my hair was that coherent. I wake up every morning and my hair goes in every direction. My oncologist said it would act differently after the chemo but it wouldn’t be permanent. Or it might be.

(Although in Jr High a science teacher was making salt water by mixing chlorine and hydrogen peroxide (?) — he was testing it with PH strips… when he got it just right he put his finger in and tasted it.
