@Alfred “Creating images is beyond my capabilities”

<sarcasm> You THINK? (And don’t call me assistant!)

@Alfred Oh my goddess! You can’t even replicate a 60 year old villain.

AI will never take over the world.

@Alfred Were you ever trained with images of CyberTruck?

@Alfred create an image of a cybertruck driven by a cyberman.

@Jorro

(Pssst—is this the time where I remind people that Wall Street isn’t Main Street?)

A better picture is unemployment. More people have jobs which is, overall, a better indicator.

Trump wants to put you out of work—so corporations don’t have to pay you as much.

That and he also wants to kill green energy.

Trump is the planet killer.

@DyDave

I had Logic Pro YEARS ago (so old I set up a virtual machine in case I ever wanted to play with it again—we’ll see 😝)

At the time it was pretty wicked, but I’m no musician and mostly took midi stuff and messed around changing the instruments and whatnot.

The most I can say is it kept me off the streets!

@Agatha

We had a sewing machine like that. It was broken and rather to spend the time and effort to fix it (not my thing) we bought a new one and gave the old one to Goodwill.

The knee controller was just too weird (even if we had gotten it to work). I’ve osteoarthritis in my hips and I don’t think it would have been fun.

@InUnfunky

Rich white people want to force other white people to pick lettuce for next to nothing.

Grapes of Wrath without the happy ending.

@ps9714

Yup. News is now a marketing vehicle for their own stories.

The problem is that polls are no longer reliable (see Clinton losing, see Trump losing).

What’s more important is how people are actually voting.

@cmskiera

But the car parts seem to be slick (although EVERYTHING has a motor). My guess is the were designing for when mankind is just a blob of protoplasm and unable to leave their vehicles.

It does have an End Of Days vibe. 😝

@cmskiera

So far, so good. The “infotainment” is horrible—GM’s own design and it looks like it—nothing is laid out with any kind of design some of the most important bits, like speed limit, are TINY, and things like battery usage are HUGE).

It’s like they don’t understand what is important info.

@Ironworker229 @FurloughedAgain

Personally, I don’t get it. We could take a three-four hour ordeal and turn it into a simple 30 minute transaction.

We seem to treat car sales as if we were a developing nation.

Tends to make me think of the “haggling” bit in one of the Python films.

“Both moderators say Trump’s Hitler, so the debate will be fair and balanced,” Watters said sarcastically. “Is Tapper going to cut the cameras away from Trump to fact-check him? We’ll have to see.”

Wait… is Fox News DEFENDING Hitler?

@FurloughedAgain

Chevy Blazer. Haggled (ugh) them down to over $10K below MSRP.

We were there for over three hours. It was stressful. Me and partner HATE haggling.

GM’s consoles are a mess. Wish it was CarPlay. The guy we dealt with was a total disaster. Kept talking about golf carts (neither of us golf). I’m guessing he did?

We were asked via text what our price point was. We told them and they pushed it back up by 8K. They did a performance about calling GM, manager, etc.

What a farce

Bought an EV. Damn I hate haggling. Was about $1500 more than we wanted but it was taking forever (of course the manager had to come out and make a song and dance and HAD to call the company to get “approval” 🙄

JD Vance is such a good friend to Trump that Trump can’t remember his name.

That’s how close they are.
