@BlueVoter24 Yeah. Nobody could get elected with a voice like that.

@tippitiwichet Pardon me for butting in. I only know what’s in your post but I feel like I have to say this and I hope it helps a little: moms and dads are only human. Even the best ones. Humans are flawed. They have feelings and weaknesses, and they make mistakes. Bad ones, sometimes. They need help sometimes. And yet, humans survive and thrive generation after generation. If you’re giving it your best and learning from the mistakes, that’s good enough. I promise.

From a flawed, imperfect dad.

The six co-conspirators have not been named (they are referred to as co-conspirator 1, co-conspirator 2, etc.), but the 45-page indictment lists the six as: four attorneys, a Justice Department official and a political consultant.

@phase2 I dropped one of those out a 3rd story window once. I was removing it because we were moving out of our apartment and a spider dropped onto my hand. I flinched and... crash!

I used to spend a lot of time amplifying GOP chicanery, but I have since come to realize that it genuinely doesn't do us any good.

All we're doing with our righteous fury is giving the apathetic—a full THIRD of the American electorate—more reasons to tune out.

Amplifying hate won't fix what ails us, but motivating people might.

@VDOVault I’ve never worked at Twitter but I’ve been a software engineer for around 25 years. I fully believe the rate limiting code for something like Twitter would be extremely complicated and changes in it prone to many unintended side effects.

On Bluesky, Twitter’s former head of trust and safety Yoel Roth wrote, “For anyone keeping track, this isn’t even the first time they’ve completely broken the site by bumbling around in the rate limiter. There’s a reason the limiter was one of the most locked down internal tools. Futzing around with rate limits is probably the easiest way to break Twitter.”

@leighedax every time I get rate limited it’s gonna be a roll of the dice whether I go back. 🤷‍♂️

@th3j35t3r This would probably make it unusable enough to make me finally quit the bird site.

@GlytchMeister I haven’t been following that closely but I do know there’s a 4chan troll that gets trotted out for almost every shooting where they try to convince people the shooter was trans. I’d be extremely skeptical.

@YesThatStevenGrant So this stunt can paralyze the government for awhile. Can’t pass laws or budgets or appointments or continue investigations, etc. if the House is blocked.

What do you think comes next? They can’t hope to keep doing this for two years right?

Foreign intelligence analysts looked at all the data available on the US and decided that weaponizing our own stupidity would be the most effective way to disrupt our government.

@Photowolf I’m not 100% sold on the theory that Garland is a bad guy. I think it’s just as likely that he’s so cautious and so meticulous that he’s going to run out of time for political reasons. The effect is the same either way.

@process I have a permanent ringing in my ears from a NIN show here in Portland a few years back. Love them to death but man it was loud.

@voltronic @ecksmc

Lol. Yes. This is VERY bad. and Nope COSO is not vulnerable to this attack.
