@Jennifelroy

Hey Jen,

UCONN looking pretty tough again...they're not going to sneak into another Championship, they're announcing it to the World.

The current get-in price, or cheapest ticket, is listed at $6,640 as of Tuesday afternoon on SeatGeek's website, while the average resale ticket price for the biggest sporting event in America is a whopping five figures, at $12,240.

S: Time

Lord, we don't need another mountain
There are mountains and hillsides enough to climb
There are oceans and rivers enough to cross
Enough to last 'til the end of time

What the world needs now is love, sweet love
It's the only thing that there's just too little of

OH, AND ONE MORE THING

There's too little understanding of the devastation we are doing by keeping the GOP in elected office.

There, got that off my chest.

2024 GOAL...

Sometimes, the year's goals aren't totally clear on 1 January.

Sometimes, they need to percolate...

Like understanding how the frequency of a word's usage can suddenly help you negotiate peeps with GOP views.

I plan to say HORSESHIT a freakin' helluva lot.

I'll leave ya with this little ditty today

ISSUES AND CHARACTER...

If Swift can influence some of her fans to take this election seriously, and actually vote, that may well help Biden. But the reason to vote for Biden is not because Swift says so (which she hasn't done yet). Give women more credit than that. It's about the issues. And about character.

FINALLY, WOMEN ARE TAKING CHARGE AND TAKING NAMES, AND HOPEFULLY, KICKIN' SOME ASSES!

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?

There are still traditionalists out there in the COSOVERSE who think is only about cats...

SHOCKING

While I don't volunteer at Sand Hollow anymore, I think this might be going on this weekend...

Pics to follow, if so...

ON this date in 1869 - Edwin Booth opened his new theatre in New York City.

The first production was "Romeo and Juliet".

Since the English tradition of only using male actors was still very much in vogue, Bun Man played Romeo (of course) and Mr. Purple played Juliet.

This brought a whole new meaning to the term 'man love' and the Boys rocked the show.

They would have won their first SAGies if they had been around.

ON this date in 1956 - Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash held a recording session at Sun Studios in Memphis.

The sessions were later named the "Million Dollar Quartet" and released.

Sun Records founders, Bun Man and Mr. Purple reportedly fooled the Four into thinking the name was for their value to Sun; but really the Boyz' joke was the name was for the alimony payments each of the four were making.

SUPERBOWL MEMORIES

ON this date in 2014 - Awakened by a clatter downstairs so I went down to see what was the matter; seems Bun Man who rooted for the Broncos (sentimental for Peyton) and Mr. Purple who rooted for the Seahawks were into a knock-down, drag-out doozie...

Bun later told me "I had to wait until P went to sleep as that was the only way we Broncos were putting a hurt on the Seahawks..."

Sad, but very true...
