Ivy is the funniest sleep buddy. She's under the covers to my left, head and paws sticking out, stretched long like a noodle, her butt touching my side.

Omg I’m WEAK 😂 Sage just got a pop to the butt. He was a VERY BAD BOY (He wants more food but his bowl has barely been touched.) So he started clawing furniture for attention. I yelled @ him so of course he clawed harder (I’m throwing that piece out when I can afford my new sofa but still I don’t want him getting in the habit).

Apparently Kyla - the matriarch now & MAMA KITTY decided that wasn’t good enough. She jumped down & popped him 3 times before returning to lay down next to me. 😂🤣😂

Sometimes I like to go out into the nearby forest on moonless nights. Like tonight. Not necessarily for a walk, but for a listen. The forest at night is never completely silent. And because it is very dark that seems to enhance my ability to hear. Perhaps it is just psychological. Tonight I didn't go far, and brought a camp chair to sit, and become still. Eyes dark adapted. Just listening. Not trying to identify the small sounds. Just listening. Listening.

Came back inside, to reflect. Put this on the box, softly.
