Ok so I'm going to try my hand at the . For my first official entry I give you Chicken Cordon Bleu lasagna. 😋

First time making it, @Heucuva8 is about to taste it.

@Fiikus_goddess

Red curry chicken w/ red bell peppers, Thai basil and peanut butter. Basil flowers are tasty.

per requestttt...

ever-so-slightly modified from this corn chowder recipe, using homemade stock and a variety of cheeses:

Slow cook entry:
Cajun slow cooked ribs, baked potatoes and cornbread. The ribs got a dry rub then cooked for 4 hours on low in the Crock-Pot with a little beer before joining the potatoes and cornbread in the oven for a little time to crisp up with BBQ sauce. They were tender enough to cut with a fork. 🤤🤤🤤

day is here again.

I made a slow simmered beef and cashew stew in a blackbean and garlic sauce.

Served on noodles (as my new rice cooker is not here yet.)

entry for Pennysaver's Special.

Garlic chicken with rice and mushrooms, added some scallions and mini plum tomatoes on top.

Did this in my ricecooker with slowcooker setting.

Chicken drumsticks and thighs were about 5€ for 5 (I made a smaller batch for myself)
Mushrooms were 1,29€
Half a pack of rice was 1€ ish
Soy sauce, 1 tbsp of rice wine, ginger and garlic, I'll add 1,5€

Tomatoes 0,50€
Scallion 0,99€ for a pack

Total : 9,28€

And it is delicious.

This week's pennysaver entry.
Home made pizza. I don't have a specific tally, but with home dough and home sauce, the biggest expense is the cheese and that's not $10 worth there. The spicy salame was on my half.

Pennysaver entry
Potatoes/cheese/broccoli with salad.
Big pan was for the mammals who "don't like boiled green stuff" in their food 🙄
This was my dinner with the broccoli (frozen) added to the potatoes & cheese.

Stubborn Hobbit wins the day!

On tonight's we have steak, lamb chops, spatchcock chicken and pork tenderloins that didn't fit on the plate.

Smoked potatoes and buttered, grilled asparagus.

Also, smoked bellpeppers for salsa..😝

Yes, I have a feast week coming. These were supposed to be cooked on Friday, but life.. 🤷‍♀️

Tagging @Kurtroedeger and @PurpleDragon for reasons.

is having a day. He's been standing like this for almost 5 minutes. Head resting on the bed. 😂

Recipe for the above ^^^^

Peel a sweet onion, chop the top and bottom off so it's flat. Core out a divot in the middle and stuff a table spoon of butter and a teaspoon or so of better than bullion paste in it. Seal in foil and bake at 350heathen for an hour and half.
I made a little extra broth on the side to add to the bowl then.
So yum. So easy.

The onion cuts with a spoon then, so tender. And the cheesy toast adds a ton, dipping it in there for the bread to soak up more broth. 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

entry

Sweet Vidalia onion baked with butter, garlic, bacon, and smokey chipotle bullion. Then the toast fingers has smoked cheddar on it melted yum under the broiler.

has anxiety, and we have found a good med that really helps him. He is doing wonders better than when he first got here. But some things new in his space still set off a barkfest of 'I DONT LIKE THAT!!!!'

Today's trigger was leaving the cinnamon toast crunch box like this on the counter. 🤦‍♀️

Turn it around and all good. 🤷‍♂️

Today is National Blueberry Pancakes day!!!!!!

So time to get up and make some pancakes coso 🥞

@BlueWatermelon775 The part of a potato that is typically considered to taste the best is the flesh or the inner part of the potato. The flesh is starchy, creamy, and has a mild flavor, making it versatile for various cooking methods and recipes. It can be boiled, mashed, roasted, fried, or used in a variety of dishes ranging from soups and stews to casseroles and gratins. The skin of the potato can also be cooked and eaten, but it is usually less soft and flavorful compared to the flesh.
