He sits SO close to the fireplace, and stares (?) at the flames. He did this with the old pellet stove too. I have no idea why....

@lifeinthePNW One year, I found a yule log channel that had a puppy and a kitten that would be on screen sometimes. Sleeping, or playing....it was so nice and soothing....Haven't seen it again since though. :(

I mopped yesterday, because I was under the impression we weren't supposed to get rain until Sunday/Monday...So I THOUGHT I'd get to have semi clean floors for a few days....

Nope! It rained last night/this morning. I had clean floors for less than 24 hours! lol Friggin dogs, man...

@TheAbbotTrithemius I have only witnessed a couple of Tormunds kills. Mostly snakes.

He shakes the shit outta anything he catches. It IS mildly terrifying to watch! lol With the snakes, he FLINGS them into the air...Flung one AT me once. Mom was not amused. lol

I checked on my library holds last night, and they all said I was several weeks away from getting my holds, so I found something else to read on Kindle Unlimited and have gotten sucked in.

This morning I get an email that one of my holds are ready. Doh!

@sarcasmsign Grief comes in waves, I've found. Sometimes, they are the little waves that just gently tickle your toes....Others, are the giant, crashing sneaker waves, that come without warning and knock you on you ass.

I lost my Ma in 2016, and my Dad in March. Hugs to you, from an empathetic internet stranger. ❤️

And another tally gets marked on Tormunds Kill List.

He got the rat that was living in the engine of a car we have sitting in the driveway!

He is such good pest control. I highly recommend a Carin Terrier to anyone that needs a good breed to patrol your yard.

@Agatha Oh no! Poor puppers!! Today was routine vaccines for Tormund. Tuesday was for Mogwais cough....which we didn't really get a diagnosis for, but are trying some meds. I hope it clears up, cause I can't afford more vet bills right now! Lol

Close to $500 in vet bills just this WEEK. 😂

Being a responsible pet owner is expensive, yall! Especially these days! Oy.

Welp. Got a notification that Care Credit reduced my credit limit, so that card is now maxed. It's what I use to pay for vet bills. And guess who has a vet visit today? lol

Thankfully it's just for vaccinations, so it shouldn't be too expensive.

So, fingers crossed Mogwai doesn't need more appointments for her cough, cause Mama ain't got the funds.

MAX app quality is GARBAGE on my TV, but its crystal clear on my Kindle Fire.

What gives? Same wifi network. Internet speeds are fine.

It's like 480p quality. 😒☹️

@KazzyH We haven't gotten ALL the boosters, but with the initial rounds, none of us (5 people) had side effects other than a sore arm. Maybe minor fatigue. Hubbs is the only one that has gotten COVID, and that was just this August.... *shrug* Bodies are weird man! Lol

Gonna get a lil sad and morose for a min....

It dawned on me yesterday, that I do not have a "my side" of the family, to see on Holidays anymore. Felt like a punch in the gut.

These realizations always come to me in the car, too! WHY!? I can't see to drive with tears in my eyes, brain. Can we not? lol

@GaryPoole You name it, I'll make it! Helpers choice! lol

Does anyone want to come fold and put away laundry for me? Maybe do a little vacuuming upstairs?

I can compensate with witty conversation and cookies.

lol *sigh*

@Agatha @chakaal I'll defitnley bring this up if the antibiotics/steroids don't help!

@TheresaVermont Yeah, this is just a starting point. Going to see if the antibiotics/higher dose of steroids help, if not he has other things to try. Hard to find a solution when we don't know the exact problem. 😕

@chakaal Nope! There is no trigger for it. She'll be laying here, snoozing then starts coughing/honking. We are leaning towards a collapsed trachea, but they couldn't get her to cough WHILE doing the Xray, and that's the only way they can diagnose it, is to SEE it on the xray. So, if the antibiotics don't help, we gotta go back.

Mogwai's vet visit today was rather....neutral. They did an Xray, and nothing showed up on that, which is good. No tumors, or masses or fluid in her lungs. Her heart sounds good, no murmurs. But no solid answer on what is causing her to honk/cough. We were given antibiotics for 8 days and the Dr is going to up her prednisone dose, then we go from there.
