Mogwai's vet visit today was rather....neutral. They did an Xray, and nothing showed up on that, which is good. No tumors, or masses or fluid in her lungs. Her heart sounds good, no murmurs. But no solid answer on what is causing her to honk/cough. We were given antibiotics for 8 days and the Dr is going to up her prednisone dose, then we go from there.

@Evereigh I had a dog that took Omeprazole daily for those symptoms.

@TheresaVermont Yeah, this is just a starting point. Going to see if the antibiotics/higher dose of steroids help, if not he has other things to try. Hard to find a solution when we don't know the exact problem. 😕

@Evereigh really makes sense. We couldn’t give our dog steroids because of diabetes. If you notice a big increase in urination call your vet. We did an ultrasound that sort of confirmed IBD. When the gird started, vet just went ahead with with Omeprazole.
