I survived the "bomb cyclone" the media was trying to scare us with. lol They always make it sounds scarier than it needs to be. SMH

Our power flickered a lot, but never went out. I know the entire west side of the Cascades, from Bothell to Buckley is without power though. THEY got hit the hardest. Was watching a live stream from a weather chaser, and they got 70MPH gusts in Enumclaw! Crazy high.

My DAUGHTER got a JOB yesterday!! She was the one that needed a job the least, but she got one! lol I am very proud of her.

Now, if only her brothers would follow suit. *sigh*

*Whine incoming*

I have to drive to Olympia to take the kids to the dentist today. I hate the dentist so much, I have anxiety about going, and I don't have an appointment! lol

I also don't leave my lil town very often, so driving to "The Big City" also makes me buhjiggity. lol

I have become such an anxiety filled lil noodle. *sigh*

My current read is "Green River, Running Red" by Ann Rule. Book about the Green River Killer.

I lived in his killing/dumping ground when I was a child. Two bodies were discovered real close to where I lived. He was like the "Boogeyman" to me. It wasn't until he got caught in 2001, that I realized he was real, and what he'd done.

My eldest son got laid off yesterday. :( HIs birthday is next week and Christmas next month....bad timing.

He is going to see if he can go back to his former job. And good vibes or power thoughts directed his way with "get a job" vibes, would be appreciated.

This Mama is worried.

I had to remove social media apps from my phone, for my own sanity.

I spend far too much time doom-scrolling and it's having an impact.

So, if I have to be on a computer to access them, I will access them less. :) People are very kind here, but it's very political (with good reason) and my brain cannot handle any more, for the time being. (I know how to "use the tools", please don't tell me to use them, I do). <3

I actually get to drive MY car today, as Daughter can finally drove her own! It still needs work, but it's driveable.

She's happy, I am happy. Hooray!

I think I want to learn how to make my own tinctures. Cannabis and other.

Set up a lil greenhouse to grow all the herbs.... Yeah.

Took daughters car in for some recall work. Husband noticed there was no heat. Asked them to look and let us know. They wanted $1,600 to replace the heater coil. Another over $600 for front brakes, and $65 to replace windshield wipers. As well as flushing some fluids.

I said they could suck my left ovary. Ain't no fuckin' way.

Spent another $100 on books today. That means I'm over $300 on books in the last 3ish weeks?

I need more shelves ....

I'd say that supporters of the Orange Baffoon need to read Animal Farm, but I do believe that is above most of their reading levels and WAY beyond their comprehension. smh

Today, we drop the Daughters car off to get the last things fixed, then she can STOP DRIVING MINE. lol

Now, while it's getting fixed, do I be responsible and go to Costco? Or do I be irresponsible and go to book stores and the Toyota dealership to look at the new 4-Runners? lol ( I think they are ugly but wanna see one in person)

I hope everyone has the day they deserve! :)

Ordered this years Christmas ornaments nice and early!

I've ordered ornaments almost every year, from Bronners. We love looking at them each year, and remembering past Christmases. The kids can take theirs when they move out and get established. :)

They have changed the Burts Bees lip balm tube. The lids are rounded and are a thinner, more flexible plastic.

This displeases me greatly.

My husband takes 2 weeks off at Christmas every year.

This year, I'm mandating mandatory lock down for our house. The Girl Child can have her BoiFran over, but beyond that no one ever comes in and no one ever goes out.

I need it. I need more than 2 weeks of it, but I'll take what I can get.

Welp. It's a good thing I look good in red and cloaks are making a comeback.

*sigh*

Imma buy some books and not leave the house for the next 4 years.

I feel oddly calm about today. I dunno why. But I've forgotten more than once it's Election Day and I don't feel the need to like, camp out on the couch with MSNBC or CNN or something on to be constantly monitoring shit like I have the last 2 Elections.

Maybe I'll just lose myself in some Sims or CK3 today and let the chips fall where they may.....

Husband came home and informed me of a tree that was down across the driveway! Small. Dead. Not ours, but if we waited for the neighbor to deal with it, it'd never get done. So, chainsaw and gloves we went, to remove said tree in the dark!

Stormy day on deck for my neck of the woods! Happy to have it, happy to sit next to my fire while is rages, happy to have a good book to read while I watch!

Be safe out there!
